Active ingredients

Artichoke leaf extract (Cynara scolymus L.) has choleretic and diuretic properties. Increased bile secretion alleviates symptoms of digestive disorders, promotes fat digestion and has a protective effect on the acid-sensitive intestinal mucosa. Bile acids entering the duodenum stimulate intestinal peristalsis, improving digestive processes. It is believed that flavonoids, quinarine, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, which stimulate the excretory function of the liver, as well as bitters and sesquiterpene lactones, are responsible for this effect. Taking artichoke extract leads to a decrease in TG and cholesterol levels in blood plasma, and the LDL fraction decreases more quickly. The components of artichoke extract can enhance cholesterol excretion, on the one hand, by stimulating bile secretion, and on the other - by inhibiting cholesterol synthesis. Macro- and microelements (calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron), vitamins (ascorbic acid, carotene, vitamins B1 and B2), inulin contained in artichoke leaf extract normalize metabolic processes. Biologically active substances contained in milk thistle fruits (Silybum marianum) - flavonoid, silymarin and its main isomer silibinin - have hepatoprotective, choleretic, choleretic and membrane-stabilizing properties, namely: normalize metabolic processes in the liver, promote rapid restoration of the liver parenchyma and its physiological functions, enhance the formation and secretion of bile, secretory and motor functions of the liver. Extract of turmeric rhizome (Curcuma longa L.), containing curcumin, which exhibits choleretic (both choleretic and cholekinetic) and anti-inflammatory properties, reduces bile saturation with cholesterol.

"Engilen" is recommended as a biologically active food supplement as an additional source of silymarin, curcumin, cynarin, flavonoids, chlorogenic and caffeic acids to normalize the functional state of the digestive system in:

Main ingredients: Dry extract of artichoke leaves (Cynara scolymus L.) – 200 mg (cynarin >5%). Dry extract of milk thistle fruits (Silybum marianum) – 140 mg (silymarin >80%). Dried extract of turmeric rhizome (Curcuma longa L.) – 25 mg (curcumin >30%). Excipients: fillers - silicified microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate; capsule: gelatin; dyes - titanium dioxide, sugar tint III, chlorophyllin copper complex.

Recommendations for use

Adults and children aged 12 years and older – 1-2 capsules per day.

Capsules should be taken before meals, washed down with a small amount of drinking water at room temperature.
