Composition
1 capsule contains: chamomile flower extract - 154 mg (mg), fennel seed extract - 90 mg (mg), thyme herb extract - 38 mg (mg), ginger root extract - 31 mg (mg), peppermint oil - 12 mg (mg); anti-caking agents: calcium stearate, aerosil; capsule shell: gelatin.
Properties
Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) is an annual herbaceous plant. The flowers contain essential oil, esquiterpene γ-lactones; carbohydrates and related compounds; carotenoids; ascorbic acid (vitamin C); phenolcarboxylic acids and their derivatives; coumarins; flavonoids; tannins; nitrogen-containing compounds; macro- and microelements: K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Al, Ba, J, Se. The extract is consumed to activate the secretory activity of the digestive glands, stimulates bile secretion and stimulates appetite, eliminates spasms of the abdominal organs, has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial effects; reduces gas formation in the intestines, stops the processes of putrefaction and fermentation in the intestines. Consumption is most effective for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidneys, urinary tract, which are accompanied by spasms, and for flatulence.
Common fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) is a herbaceous plant of the celery umbrella family Apiiaceae (Umbelliferae). The fruits contain essential oil - 3-7%, fatty oil - 14-22% with a high content of petroselinic acid, steroid compounds, polyacetylenes, phenolcarboxylic acids, coumarins and tannins. Fennel fruits are used for atonic constipation, flatulence and intestinal pain, to enhance pancreatic function, increase intestinal tone and peristalsis, reduce fermentation and putrefaction processes in it, and for cholecystitis and pancreatitis.
Thyme (Thymus L.) - herbaceous plants and semi-shrubs of the family of Lamiaceae (Labiatae). Thyme grass contains essential oil (1.0–2.1%). The main component that determines the value of the oil is phenolic compounds: thymol (up to 42%), carvacrol and n-cymene (n-cymene). Monoterpenoids - l-pinene, γ-terpinene, linalool, l-borneol and sesquiterpene - caryophyllene were found in the oil. In addition to essential oil, the raw material contains acids: ursolic, oleanolic, thymic (saponinic), caffeic, chlorogenic and quinic; flavonoids: luteolin, luteolin-7-glucoside, luteolin-7-diglucoside; tannins; bitterness and mineral salts
Thyme has a pronounced bactericidal (against pathogenic cocci and gram-negative microorganisms), antifungal (against pathogenic fungi), anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, analgesic and sedative effects. It helps normalize intestinal microflora, helps with rapid digestion of food, and significantly improves the body's condition with flatulence and cramps.
Ginger root. The content of essential oil in dry rhizomes is 1.5-3%, its main component is zingiberene (zingiberene) - sesquiterpenes (a group of organic compounds of the terpene class) - up to 70%, also contains camphene, cineole, bisabolene, borneol, citral, linalool. Ginger also contains vitamins C, B1, B2 and essential amino acids. The burning taste is due to the substance gingerol. Active compounds (essential oil containing sesquiterpenes, terpene compounds, phenylalkanes) contained in crushed ginger rhizomes increase the secretion of saliva, gastric juice and bile, which normalizes digestion.
Ginger is a powerful antioxidant, has anti-inflammatory and oncoprotective effects. Helps overcome stomach disorders and relieves nausea. Also has gastroprotective, antispasmodic and analgesic effects; improves metabolism, increases peristalsis of the small intestine.
Peppermint (M. piperita L.) is a genus of herbaceous perennial plants of the Lamiaceae family (Labiatae). All above-ground parts of peppermint contain essential oil. The essential oil contains monoterpenoids: menthol (40–70%), menthone (10–25%), pulegone, piperitone, carvone, terpinen-4-ol, octan-3-ol, menthofuran, menthyl acetate, menthyl valerianate, limonene, α- and β-pinene; sesquiterpenes: caryophyllene and azulenogen guayene (more than 30 components have been identified). In addition, triterpenic acids: ursolic and oleanolic; carotenoids; sterols; betaine; flavonoids: apigenin, luteolin, hesperidin, anthocyanins and leucoanthocyanins; tannins; minerals: Zn, Se, Cu, Mn, Sr, etc.
Peppermint oil has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, analgesic, antifungal, antiviral, general tonic, antispasmodic, choleretic, and laxative effects; limits the processes of putrefaction and fermentation in the intestines, enhances the secretory and motor function of the intestines; prevents the development of gastric and duodenal ulcers, and flatulence.
Recommendations for use
It can be recommended as an additional source of biologically active compounds of extracts: chamomile flowers, fennel seeds, thyme herb, ginger root and peppermint oil, which contribute to the normal functioning of the secretory-motor function of the gastrointestinal tract; normal processes of digestion and elimination of intestinal gases; prevents spastic reactions and discomfort; helps protect the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum.
