Epigal capsules No. 60

Epigal capsules are a complex herbal preparation containing three active ingredients: indole-3-carbinol and epigallocatechin-3-gallate and common cowslip. The first component is extracted from plants of the cruciferous family, the second - from green tea extract. The third - from a tree-like shrub.

Active ingredients

Indole-3-carbinol is able to block pathological cell growth, affecting both hormonal mechanisms of pathology development and pathological mechanisms of disease stimulation not related to endocrinology. It effectively affects destructive processes associated with hyperplasia in mammology, gynecology and andrology. The substance is able to potentiate cytochrome P-450 enzyme systems, optimize estrogen synthesis and inhibit the formation of 16-hydroxyestrone, which exhibits procarcinogenic activity and causes a dangerous imbalance in the ratio of sex hormone metabolites in women. Indole-3-carbinol stops abnormal proliferative processes in estrogen-sensitive tissues, causes apoptosis of degenerated cells, reduces the effect of growth factors that can accelerate the growth of hormone-dependent tumors in the reproductive system. The substance has antiviral activity against the human papillomavirus. The effect is observed due to inhibition of E7 protein synthesis with stimulation of self-destruction in infected epithelial cells, as well as in virogenically transformed formations in cells.

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate stimulates phagocytosis, affects its completion, increases the number of phagocytes. It has been established that this substance has angiostatic activity, thereby stopping the formation of blood vessels, their germination. There is an inhibition of the growth of blood vessels in myomatous nodes. This limits the growth of tumors and inhibits the invasive activity of endometrial cells. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate has an anti-inflammatory effect due to its effect on COX-2, prostaglandins.

The most important effect of the twigs is the normalization of the level of sex hormones. It reduces the production of prolactin, bringing the ratio of hormones in the second phase of the cycle to normal. Thus, menstrual irregularities are regulated and pain in the mammary glands is relieved. Also, the twig has an antipyretic and antimalarial effect, improves digestion, and tones the body.

Indications for use

The drug Epigal is considered a source of indole-3-carbinol, epigallocatechin-3-gallate for:

• uterine leiomyoma;
• prostatic hyperplasia;
• endometrial hyperplasia;
• mastopathy;
• endometriosis;
• cervical dysplasia;
• adenomyositis;
• endometrioid cysts;
• anogenital warts.

Method of application

Epigal capsules are taken with meals. The average daily dose is 1-2 capsules.

The course of therapy for metabolic disorders in the mammary glands, papillomatosis is about 3 months, for pathological processes with hyperproliferation in gynecology, andrology - 6 months.

Contraindication

Epigal is not prescribed for:

pregnancy; individual intolerance to the active and auxiliary components of the capsules; lactation; antacid therapy.

Composition

1 capsule (500 mg) contains:

indole-3 carbinol 200 mg; green tea extract (epigallocatechin) 50 mg; common verbena extract 160 mg; microcrystalline cellulose, calcium stearate.
