Aromatics Anise Essential Oil is an essential oil obtained from the fruits of anise. Today, anise fruits and the oil obtained from them are widely used in perfumery, soap making and cosmetology. Contraindication

Individual intolerance to anise essential oil. Anise oil belongs to the category of potent substances, therefore it is not recommended for use by pregnant women, children under 3 years of age, as well as people suffering from cardiac arrhythmia, circulatory failure, hypersensitivity of the skin and a tendency to allergic reactions.

Other types of interaction

There are not many oils that are completely complementary to anise, which would perfectly complement its aroma. This essential oil can be supplemented only with oregano, nutmeg, sage, lemongrass, black pepper, exotic verbena or bay oil. For cosmetic purposes, anise essential oil is especially well combined with aromatic oils of ylang-ylang, lavender, mint, patchouli, fir, sandalwood, fennel, sage, eucalyptus.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Use requires a doctor's consultation. Anise oil is a potent substance, so it is not recommended for pregnant women.

Method of application

Enrichment of cosmetics: 3-5 drops of anise essential oil (or its mixture with other essential oils in equal parts) mixed with 10-15 g (ml) of base (oil, cream, tonic, lotion, mask, shampoo, balm, etc.). Massage: mix 3-5 drops of anise essential oil with 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable base oil (peach, almond, jojoba, grape seed, etc.) or cream of your choice. Baths: add 3-5 drops of anise essential oil to a full bath (37-38 °C), pre-mixed with 1-2 tablespoons of emulsifier (milk, honey, sea or table salt). The procedure time is 10-15 minutes. Sauna: Aromatize the air in the bathhouse and sauna by applying 2-3 drops of anise essential oil diluted in 500 ml of water to the heated stones. Aroma medallion: Drop 2-3 drops of oil into the aroma medallion. Room aromatization: Add 3-4 drops (per 15 m²) of pure anise essential oil or a mixture with other oils to an aroma lamp filled with water and light a candle. The aroma will fill the room. If there is no aroma lamp, the oil can be applied to a napkin or added to a cup of hot water and placed on a radiator. Duration of the procedure: 15-30 minutes.
