Description

Solution for external use "Ethanol 70%" is indicated:

for boils, panaritium, infiltrates, mastitis in the initial stages; for wiping and compresses; for surgical treatment of surgeons' hands.

Composition

The active substance is ethanol (not less than 69.3% v/v and not more than 70.7% v/v ethanol) and water.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

When applied externally, it has an antiseptic, disinfectant, and local effect. Ethanol coagulates proteins and is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and viruses.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, it is not absorbed through the skin.

Contraindication

increased individual sensitivity; acute inflammatory processes of the skin.

Method of application

Externally - for rubbing, compresses, and disinfection of the skin, including hands.

For compresses and wipes (to prevent burns), ethanol should be diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio.
