1 bottle contains tincture of eucalyptus leaves (Tinctura Eucalypti) (1:5) (extractant – ethanol 70%) - 25 ml or 50 ml.

Main physical and chemical properties: transparent liquid of greenish-brown color with a specific odor. During storage, precipitation is allowed.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics.
Eucalyptus tincture contains tannins, ellagic acid, flavonoids, resins, wax, essential oil, which includes various terpene compounds, especially active against gram-positive, gram-negative microorganisms, which have a detrimental effect on fungi and protozoa. Eucalyptus inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia, tuberculous mycobacteria, Trichomonas, dysentery amoeba. The main component of the essential oil is cineole monocyclic terpene. Eucalyptus tincture has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and disinfectant effect, which is due to the oxidative effect of cineole monocyclic terpene and the anti-inflammatory effect associated with almost all physiologically active substances that are part of it. The drug also exhibits a moderate sedative (calming) effect.

Indication
Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, nasopharynx and oral cavity (tracheitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, gingivitis, stomatitis), skin lesions (including infected wounds), as well as mild forms of neurotic disorders (irritability, emotional lability, sleep disorders).
Contraindication
Bronchial asthma, bronchospasm. Inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and biliary tract. Severe liver disease. Individual hypersensitivity to the drug.

Application features
Since the preparation contains ethanol, it is not recommended to take the tincture for a long time.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Since the preparation contains ethyl alcohol, the tincture is not recommended for internal use by women during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The ability to influence the reaction speed when driving or working with other mechanisms
When taking Eucalyptus tincture internally, you should refrain from driving vehicles and working with potentially dangerous mechanisms.
Method of administration and doses
Eucalyptus tincture should be taken internally, and also used for rinsing and steam inhalations.
Adults are recommended to take 15-30 drops of tincture orally 3-4 times a day after meals. Children over 12 years old should take 1 drop per 1 year of life 3-4 times a day after meals.
For rinsing, dilute 10-15 drops of tincture in 200 ml of warm boiled water.
Steam inhalations should be carried out using any type of inhaler, using Eucalyptus tincture undiluted or after diluting it with water (as for rinsing).
The duration of use of the drug depends on the achieved therapeutic effect, which is determined by the doctor.
Children
Since the preparation contains ethyl alcohol, the tincture is not recommended for oral administration to children under 12 years of age.

Side effects
Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In case of hypersensitivity to the drug, allergic reactions may occur (including urticaria, redness and rash on the skin, itching, Quincke's edema).
