Eucerin Aquaporin Active Face Cream with UV Protection is an innovative facial moisturizer that enhances the skin's own moisture system, leaving it smooth, supple and radiant, while protecting it from UV damage.

Skin needs moisture to function properly and effectively. Well-hydrated skin is smooth, supple and looks radiant. When the skin's natural barrier is compromised, it loses moisture and becomes dehydrated. Dehydrated skin looks dull, hard to the touch, tight and unable to block external irritants. As a result, it becomes sensitive. Intensive and long-lasting hydration is essential for skin to look and feel its best.

Most moisturizers improve skin hydration by limiting water evaporation from the skin’s surface and/or by trapping moisture in the upper layers of the skin with ingredients such as Glycerin. However, skin has its own hydration system – Aquaporins. These are microscopic channels that transport moisture between skin cells and help retain moisture from within. The formula contains Glyco-Glycerol, an ingredient that has been shown to increase the number of aquaporins in the skin. This means that in addition to reducing moisture evaporation from the outer layers of the skin, Eucerin Aquaporin Active also improves the skin’s own hydration system.
