Express Test cassette for diagnosing hepatitis C virus in blood No. 1

Rapid test for diagnosing viral hepatitis C Express Test.
The Express Test rapid test for the diagnosis of hepatitis C virus is a test cassette for the qualitative detection of the presence of hepatitis C (HCV) antibodies in whole blood, serum or plasma samples.
Hepatitis C virus is a small, single-stranded, positive-enveloped RNA virus. Antibodies to HCV are detected in over 80% of patients.
The test uses a recombinant antigen combination to selectively detect elevated levels of antibodies to the hepatitis C virus. When a sufficient volume of the test specimen is applied to the specimen well of the cassette, the specimen migrates by capillary action across the membrane to the test zones, which are coated with HCV antibodies, to which the hepatitis C surface antigen reacts when tested on a blood sample.
The test has a high sensitivity of 98.1%, which allows it to determine the presence of the virus with an accuracy of 98.9%.
Method of application
- Remove the test cassette from the sealed package and use it as soon as possible.
- Add 2 drops of whole blood from a finger or vein to the sample well (S), then 1 drop of buffer and wait for the result.
- The test evaluation result is available in 15 minutes, but no later than the specified time.
Evaluation of results:
- POSITIVE: 2 clear red lines appear. One should be in the control region (C) and the other line should be in the test region (T).
- NEGATIVE: One red line appears in the control region (C). No visible red or pink line appears in the test region (T).
- INVALID: Control line does not appear. Review the instructions and repeat the test with a new test cassette.
