Express Test cassette for the diagnosis of rotavirus infection in feces No. 1

Rapid test for diagnosing rotavirus infection Express Test.
The Express Test rapid test for the diagnosis of rotavirus infection is a rapid visual immunoassay for the detection of rotavirus in human stool samples.
Rotavirus is the most common cause of acute gastroenteritis, mainly in young children. Rotavirus can be detected while diarrhea is ongoing.
The test contains anti-rotovirus and anti-rotovirus antibody particles coated on a membrane. During the test, the sample reacts with colored anti-rotovirus antibody conjugate particles that have been pre-coated on the test strip. The sample migrates through the membrane capillaries and interacts with the reagents on the membrane.
Maximum excretion of rotavirus in the feces of patients with gastroenteritis occurs 3-5 days after the onset of symptoms.
The test has a sensitivity of 99.1%, which makes it possible to detect the presence of the virus at the first symptoms of the disease.
Method of application
- Remove the test from the sealed package and place it on a clean, flat surface. Label the test with patient or control identification. For best results, the test should be performed within one hour.
- Using a tissue, unscrew the tip of the sampler. Holding the sampler vertically, drop 2 drops of solution into the sample well (S) of the test cassette. Avoid getting air bubbles in the sample well (S) and do not drop the solution into the viewing window.
- Wait until the colored band appears. Read the result after 10 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 15 minutes.
Evaluation of results:
- POSITIVE: One colored line appears in the control region (C) and another colored line appears in the test region (T).
- NEGATIVE: One colored line appears in the control region (C). No line appears in the test region (T).
- INVALID: No control band is visible. Results from any test that does not produce a control band within the specified reading time should be discarded. Repeat the procedure with a new test.
