Express Test cassette for HIV diagnosis No. 1

Rapid test for the diagnosis of HIV infections Express Test is a test cassette for the qualitative determination of the presence of antibodies to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 in whole blood, serum or plasma.
HIV infection is an infectious disease that develops as a result of infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), long-term survival of HIV in lymphocytes, macrophages and cells of the nervous tissue. This infection is the etiological agent of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Detection of antibodies to HIV in serum or blood plasma is the most effective and common way to determine whether a person has been in contact with HIV.
The test uses a gold conjugate and several recombinant HIV proteins for the selective detection of antibodies to HIV 1/2 in blood. It is based on the principle of the double antigen sandwich method. The membrane is coated with recombinant HIV antigens in the test line region of the device. When a sample is applied to one end of the membrane, a reaction occurs with the gold conjugate coated with recombinant HIV antigen and the mixture migrates chromatographically by capillary action and reacts with recombinant HIV antigens on the membrane in the test line region.
The test has a high sensitivity of 99.5%, which allows you to determine the presence of infection with an accuracy of 99.8%.
