General information

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone secreted by the placenta during pregnancy. In non-pregnant women, its level is 0-5 mIU/ml, from the first hour of pregnancy its amount increases significantly and by the end of the second week reaches 300 mIU/ml. The quantitative content of hCG in a woman's urine is the basis of rapid pregnancy tests.

Pregnancy tests are divided into two types depending on their sensitivity

Determine hCG concentration from 10 mIU/ml. These tests can detect pregnancy 5-7 days after fertilization. Note: Fertilization occurs later than conception. Determine concentration 25 mIU/ml. These tests are usually cheaper, and they can only detect pregnancy at a later date.

How to use

The highly sensitive ExpressTest 3rd generation pregnancy test, thanks to its special design, allows testing without urine collection. This makes the testing procedure simpler and more hygienic. The high sensitivity of -10 mIU/ml allows you to determine pregnancy from the 7th day after conception.

The test can be performed at any time of day. However, the concentration of hCG in morning urine is maximum, so in the early stages of delay, it is recommended to perform the test in the morning.

Avoid excessive fluid intake and diuretics before the test. It is not recommended to take the test after drinking alcohol, as this may affect the test result. If you take the test too soon after fertilization, the hCG level may be low and the test will give a negative result. In this case, repeat the test after 48 hours. The hCG level can be determined by the test within a few weeks after childbirth, cesarean section, miscarriage, abortion for medical reasons.

Open the package, remove the cassette and remove the protective cap.

Place the arrowed end of the test cassette under the urine stream for 5 seconds, close the protective cap. The result can be evaluated after 5 minutes, but no more than 10 minutes at room temperature.

Precautions

The test can only be used once.

The test result is valid for 10 minutes.

Do not use if the expiration date has passed.
