Flamidez Phytoplus ointment 20g

"Flamides Phytoplus" is used for pain in muscles and joints.

Composition

1 g of ointment contains (active ingredients):

Excipients: white wax, white soft paraffin.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; diseases and skin damage in the area of the intended application of the drug, including burns, eczema, dermatitis, pustular skin diseases; bronchial asthma, whooping cough, pseudocroup; epilepsy, tendency to seizures.

Methods of application

For muscle and joint pain, apply the ointment to the muscle or joint area in a thick layer and rub in gently.

Adults and children should use the drug up to 3 times a day. The duration of treatment is determined individually depending on the severity of the disease and clinical effectiveness.

The medicine is prescribed for children aged 3 years and over.

Overdose

Possible increase in side effect symptoms, feeling of intense heat and burning. Accidental oral administration may cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, symptoms of central nervous system depression, dizziness, ataxia, convulsions, hot flashes, drowsiness, difficulty breathing, reflex respiratory arrest.

The drug usually does not exhibit systemic toxic effects when the recommended dose of the drug is exceeded, however, excessive external application to large areas can potentially cause toxic symptoms, such as nephrotoxicity, central nervous system disorders (immediately after the use of camphor).

Accidental exposure to the nose or face of infants and children may cause apnea due to spasm of the glottis (laryngospasm), a condition that requires immediate medical attention.

Adverse reactions

Immune system disorders: hypersensitivity reactions.

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: hyperemia, moderate local irritation, erythema, rash, urticaria, peeling, itching, dermatitis, burns, blisters, temporary moderate skin discoloration.

Respiratory system: bronchospasm.

From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, agitation, convulsions.

When applying the ointment to large areas of skin for a long time, systemic adverse reactions characteristic of methyl salicylate may occur (including tinnitus, visual disturbances, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastric pain).

Prolonged use may increase sensitivity to the drug and reduce the clinical effect.

Interaction

Although adequate controlled interaction trials have not been conducted, it is possible that excessive use of topical salicylates may increase the effects of coumarin anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs. Therefore, caution should be exercised in patients taking coumarin anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs, including aspirin.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
