Composition

active ingredient: flax seeds (lini semen);

Main physical and chemical properties: the seed is flattened, elongated ovoid, 4 mm to 6 mm long, 2 mm to 3 mm wide and 1.5 mm to 2 mm thick; rounded at one end and pointed at the other, with a clearly visible seed scar. The seed coat is dark reddish-brown to yellow, smooth and shiny, and finely cellular when enlarged. Under the coat is a narrow whitish endosperm and an embryo, which consists of two large, flat, yellowish and oily cotyledons.

Pharmacological properties

The biologically active substances of the drug have an enveloping, anti-inflammatory and mild laxative effect, covering the mucous membranes of the digestive tract with a thin layer and preventing their irritation.

Indication

As part of complex therapy for diseases of the mucous membranes of the digestive tract (enteritis, colitis, esophagitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers), inflammatory processes of the skin (furunculosis, abscesses).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Acute and chronic cholecystitis in the acute stage; intestinal obstruction.

As prescribed by a doctor in the event that the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Method of administration and doses

Pour 1 teaspoon of seeds with 100 ml of boiling water and shake for 15 minutes, strain. Internally, use only freshly prepared preparation in a warm form 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old - ¼ cup, children 12–14 years old - 2 tablespoons, 7–12 years old - 1 tablespoon, 3–7 years old - 1 dessert spoon.

Do not store mucus.

Externally, apply dry, heated seeds in linen bags or freshly ground, steamed in a small amount of boiling water, as poultices for boils and abscesses to accelerate their ripening.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Overdose

Overdose may cause diarrhea.
