Properties

Quatrefolic® Methylfolate ((6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is a 4th generation folic acid, a metabolically active form that does not require additional conversion in the body. It plays an important role in the metabolism of amino acids, the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids (mainly in the production of DNA and RNA) and the repair of chromosomes. Folate ((6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is involved in the process of cell division, necessary for the growth and development of the hematopoietic and immune systems. Folic acid is necessary for the creation and maintenance of healthy cells, its presence is important during periods of rapid growth and development of the body - at the stage of early intrauterine development and in early childhood. Folic acid is involved in the formation of the fetal nervous system, necessary for cell division, growth and development of all organs and tissues, normal development of the embryo and blood formation processes. Folic acid deficiency leads to an increase in homocysteine levels (hyperhomocysteinemia). Hyperhomocysteinemia is one of the most important causes of impaired reproductive function in women. This condition often leads to infertility, miscarriage and the birth of children with central nervous system abnormalities. Vitamin B12 MecobalActive® – methylcobalamin is a metabolically active form of vitamin B12. Compared to other forms of vitamin B12, methylcobalamin is better transported into cell organelles at the subcellular level. Cobalamin is an important substance, the deficiency of which leads to anemia, numbness of the extremities, fatigue, decreased immune system function, increased risk of cardiovascular diseases and decreased cognitive functions. Methylcobalamin acts as an immunomodulator of cellular immunity, necessary for DNA synthesis during cell division, participates in the formation and maturation of erythrocytes, as well as for the maintenance of frequently renewed body cells. In the central nervous system, vitamin B12 is necessary for the synthesis of nuclear protein and myelin. Methylcobalamin normalizes axonal transport of protein complexes and axon regeneration. It promotes myelination of neurons, stimulating the synthesis of phospholipids. Methylcobalamin normalizes energy metabolism (participates in the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins, amino acid, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. It contributes to the production of energy necessary for body cells during the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. Methylcobalamin is a coenzyme of proteins and DNA. Vitamin B12 is necessary to ensure better absorption of folic acid, it enhances and complements its action.

Indications for use

Folinex is recommended for normalizing the processes of the nervous system and hematopoiesis, preventing and eliminating folic acid and vitamin B12 deficiency, especially during pregnancy and when planning a pregnancy. It contributes to the normalization of the synthesis of all blood cells (including erythrocytes) and the elimination of the development of thrombosis.

Dosage and administration

Adults should take 1 capsule 1-2 times a day, washed down with plenty of water.

Individual intolerance to dietary supplement components, children's age.

Application features

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Folinex should not be used as a substitute for a full diet. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only on medical advice. Consult a doctor before use.
