Composition

active ingredients: 1 tablet contains: Carduus D1 7.4 mg, Taraxacum D6 37.2 mg, Chelidonium D6

37.2 mg, Natrium sulfuricum D12 37.2 mg, Phosphorus D12 37.2 mg;

excipients: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, magnesium stearate.

The drug Galstena® has hepatoprotective, choleretic, and cholekinetic properties.

The drug has some antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effects on the hepatobiliary system.

Indication

Acute and chronic diseases of the liver and biliary tract. Chronic pancreatitis - in complex treatment.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity (allergy) to any component of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Clinically significant interactions of Galstena® with other drugs have not been established. The drug can be combined with any drugs and treatment methods.

Application features

1 tablet contains 226.9 mg of lactose monohydrate, therefore patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should consult a doctor before taking this medicine.

At the beginning of treatment with the drug, a short-term exacerbation of existing symptoms of the disease (primary reaction) is possible. This reaction is usually temporary. If the symptoms do not disappear, the drug should be discontinued. After the disappearance of the primary reaction, the drug can be used again. If the symptoms worsen again, the drug should be discontinued.

Since Galstena® contains natural plant components, a slight change in the taste and color of the tablet may occur during storage, which does not lead to a decrease in the quality and effectiveness of the drug.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

There is currently no evidence of a special risk of using the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The drug should be used with caution during pregnancy or breastfeeding and only in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus/child. There are no data on the effect of the drug on reproductive function.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.

Method of administration and doses

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet 2 times a day;

children aged 6 to 12 years: ½ tablet 2 times a day.

At the beginning of treatment, as well as in cases where rapid relief of symptoms is required, the drug can be taken up to 4 times a day. After the condition improves, take 2 times a day.

To achieve maximum effect, Galstena® tablets are recommended to be taken between meals (30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal). It is recommended to keep the tablet in the mouth until completely dissolved.

If symptoms worsen or no improvement is observed after 7 days of treatment, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.

In chronic diseases, the course of treatment can last up to 4 weeks.

Children. Use the drug Galstena®, tablets, for children over 6 years of age.

For children aged 6 to 12 years, use as recommended by a doctor.

Galstena® in the form of drops can be used to treat children aged 2 to 6 years.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been identified.

Side effects

In exceptional cases, allergic reactions are possible in people with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug. If any side effects occur, it is necessary to stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

Expiration date

3 years.

Storage conditions

Store in the original cardboard packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.

Keep out of reach of children.
