Recommendations for use
Gastrotop chewable tablets are a complex of polysaccharides, plant extracts and salts used to protect the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, especially the esophagus, in cases of gastroesophageal reflux and/or conditions accompanied by increased acid production.
Gastrotol chewable tablets contain biologically active substances from Indian prickly pear, olive leaves and mallow, which have anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory and protective properties; they promote healing of the gastric mucosa and protect the esophageal mucosa.
The product components are used, among other things, in the following conditions:
heartburn, discomfort and/or pain in the epigastrium and/or other dyspeptic phenomena;
gastroesophageal reflux disease;
esophagitis;
conditions accompanied by excessive acid production;
supporting the functions of the digestive organs;
exacerbations of chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Composition
Bulking agent - maltodextrin; sweetener - sorbitol (420); solid mixture of extracts of Indian prickly pear and European olive leaves, sweetener - xylitol (E967); thickener - gum arabic (ED); sodium alginate; mallow dry extract, magnesium stearate (EDTO); calcium carbonate; potassium bicarbonate; flavor enhancer - licorice; sweeteners: sucralose (E955), stevia (960), flavor enhancer - mint.
Properties
Indian prickly pear
A source of biologically active compounds: flavonoids, phytosterols (f-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, etc.), amino acids, as well as polysaccharides consisting of arabinose, galactose, rhamnose and galacturonic acid. Polysaccharides of Indian prickly pear form special molecular clusters in solution with the properties of mucus, which are negatively charged, which is associated with their strong mucoadhesive properties and protective effect on the mucous membrane. Biologically active compounds of Indian prickly pear also have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cytoprotective and antiproliferative properties, which is due to their effect on prostaglandins, interleukins and cytokines, as well as increasing the production of mucin by the mucous membrane and restoring the normal state of the mucous membrane.
The protective, scarring, anti-ulcer, and anti-inflammatory properties of Indian prickly pear are associated with the above characteristics.
European olive leaves
Olive leaf extract contains a wide range of biologically active compounds, including flavonoids (luteolin, apigenin, rutin, etc.), terpenoids (iridoid, etc.) with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The cytoprotective effect of this olive leaf extract is associated with antioxidant properties, and the positive effect on reflux is associated with the action of the entire spectrum of active substances.
Sodium alginate and potassium bicarbonate
Sodium alginate consists of polysaccharides, after entering the stomach it creates a gel that serves as a physical barrier against gastric reflux from reaching the esophageal mucosa, and also forms a protective film on the gastric mucosa.
Potassium bicarbonate reacts with acid and displaces the sodium alginate gel barrier upward above the gastric juice, under these conditions the latter cannot move up to the esophagus and enter there.
The combination of sodium alginate with extracts of Indian prickly pear and European olive provides additional opportunities to reduce the frequency and severity of gastroesophageal reflux symptoms.
Calcium carbonate
It affects the rate of gel formation from sodium alginate and increases its viscosity, which increases the duration of its effective functioning.
Mallow
Contains flavonoids (gossypin and others), terpenoids (linalool and others) and mucilages that have an anti-inflammatory effect on the gastrointestinal tract.
Method of application
Adults: 1 chewable tablet after main meals and 1 chewable tablet before bedtime. The tablet should be chewed completely and swallowed.
Recommended duration of consumption: determined individually and can range from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 months.
Reservation
The dietary supplement should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Avoid consumption in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more components.
It is recommended to consult a doctor before consumption.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
