Composition
active ingredient: 1 bottle contains ginseng root tincture (Ginseng radices) (1:10) (extractant – 70% ethanol) 50 ml.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics.
The drug has an adaptogenic, tonic, hypertensive effect. It enhances the processes of excitation in the neurons of the cortex and brain stem, improves reflex activity, activates metabolism, increases efficiency. The effects of the drug are dose-dependent: when used in low doses, there is an increase in excitation and a weakening of inhibitory processes, in high doses - an increase in the latter.
Indication
Decreased mental and physical performance, asthenic conditions, recovery period after serious illnesses, weakening of sexual function of neurasthenic genesis (as part of complex therapy).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Arterial hypertension, increased excitement, insomnia, tendency to bleeding, acute infectious diseases, epilepsy.
Special safety precautions
Ginseng tincture should not be taken in the afternoon. It should be borne in mind that taking the drug is most effective in autumn and winter. Before surgery, you should stop taking the drug at least 2 weeks in advance. Patients suffering from diabetes should monitor their blood glucose levels.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
Possible reduction of the anticoagulant effect of warfarin, may also interact with other anticoagulants (heparin). Interaction with phenelzine [monoamine oxidase inhibitor] cannot be ruled out.
The drug increases the clearance of sulfoxidalbendazole (anthelmintic). Enhances the effect of psychostimulants, analgesics, anesthetics, caffeine, camphor, phenamine and other central nervous system (CNS) stimulants, is an antagonist of drugs that suppress CNS functions (tranquilizers, anticonvulsants, etc.). Reduces the effect of hypnotics, neuroleptics.
The drug is a physiological antagonist of barbiturates, therefore their simultaneous use is not rational. Do not use together with antidepressants, alcohol.
In combination with digoxin, it can be used only as prescribed by a doctor, while monitoring the increase in digoxin concentration in the blood.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
Since the preparation contains ethanol, it is not recommended to use Ginseng tincture while driving a car or performing work involving potentially dangerous mechanical devices.
Method of administration and doses
Take orally 30–40 minutes before meals. A single dose for adults is 15 to 20 drops. The drug should be used 2–3 times a day for 30–40 days.
Repeat the course of treatment after 2–3 weeks (if necessary).
Children over 12 years of age should use 1 drop per 1 year of life.
You should consult a doctor if the symptoms of the disease do not disappear while using the medicine or if you experience side effects not listed in the instructions for medical use of the medicine.
Children: Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
Overdose
Overdose may cause headache and dizziness, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, increased body temperature, respiratory distress, loss of consciousness, and bleeding.
Treatment: gastric lavage, use of sorbents.
Side effects
Allergic reactions are possible (including skin redness, roseola rash, itching); increased blood pressure, increased excitability, insomnia, headache, tachycardia, nausea, vomiting; bleeding gums and nasal mucosa (in severe cases, traces of blood in vomit and feces); diarrhea; the drug can cause an estrogen-like effect, manifested in the form of mastalgia, menopausal vaginal bleeding and gynecomastia.
If any adverse reactions occur, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.
