Properties

Glucose modulator is an additional source of magnesium, chromium, biotin (vitamin H) and biologically active substances contained in extracts of the medicinal plants Jimnema sylvestre and Momordica harantskii (syn. Chinese bitter melon).

The effect of all active substances of the glucose modulator has been clinically proven.

Gymnema sylvestre leaf extract contains gymnemic acid, which reduces sugar cravings and slows down the absorption of glucose in the small intestine. According to a number of studies, harantin, a component of Momordica harantha fruit extract (syn. Chinese bitter melon), has an insulin-like effect, facilitating the entry of glucose into cells.

Magnesium is an important macronutrient and as a coenzyme is involved in most metabolic processes in the human body (including glycolysis, the tricarboxylic acid (Krebs) cycle, oxidative phosphorylation and glucose synthesis). A number of long-term studies on large groups of people have proven the positive role of regular intake of prophylactic doses of magnesium in preventing diabetes. In addition, it was found that normalizing the magnesium content in the body increases tissue sensitivity to insulin and reduces the likelihood of diabetic organ damage.

99% of magnesium is bound in bone tissue and intracellular space, and only less than 1% is in extracellular fluid. Therefore, it is impossible to determine the total magnesium content of a person based on the determination of magnesium concentration in the blood.

The daily requirement for magnesium is at least 350 mg for men and 300 mg for women. Biotin (coenzyme R, vitamin B7 or vitamin H) is a water-soluble sulfur-containing vitamin of group B. It participates in the synthesis of glucokinase, one of the main enzymes regulating carbohydrate metabolism. Regular use of saccharin negatively affects the absorption of biotin and its synthesis by intestinal microflora.

Chromium is a trace element that contributes to the formation of the correct stereoform of the insulin molecule, increasing the effectiveness of the hormone and improving tissue sensitivity to insulin.

Method of application

Adults and children over 12 years old: 1 capsule 2 times a day 10-15 minutes before meals, washed down with plenty of water. The course of treatment is 2-3 months, the second course is at least two weeks, or according to the doctor's recommendations.
