Composition

Alcohol solution of modification of phenol-formaldehyde resin, polyvinyl butyrol and rosin, plasticized with a plasticizer.

Dosage form

Medical glue BF-6. A means for healing wounds.

Pharmacological properties

Medical glue BF-6 has a wound-healing and antiseptic effect. It is used as an insulating agent, promotes the healing of small skin wounds due to the formation of an insulating film on their surface. The latter is elastic and resistant to mechanical and chemical influences.

When covering the tooth root with BF-6 Glue, conditions are created for isolating the microflora of small root tubules from the products of tissue destruction.

Indication

This tool is used:

for treating abrasions, scratches, cuts; for disinfecting skin irritations; in dentistry, glue is used to cover the root of the tooth, treat peri-root dental lesions (granulomas, cysts, etc.).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Method of administration and doses

BF-6 Glue is used topically for adults and children. BF-6 Glue is not recommended for children under 1 year of age.

Before applying the drug, the skin area is thoroughly cleaned of dirt.

A cotton or gauze swab is used to stop bleeding and dry the area to be covered with glue. The latter is applied to the skin in a thin, even layer until the damaged area and adjacent intact tissues are completely covered. In case of violation of the integrity of the film, a new film is applied on top of it.

During surgical treatment of peri-root foci of infection, the tooth root is thoroughly cleaned of granulation and cyst membrane, bleeding is stopped, dried and the part of the tooth root protruding into the jaw bone defect is covered with glue, preventing the glue from flowing onto the bone. After 1-2 minutes, the wound is drained, monitoring the filling of the peri-root jaw defect with blood with a drunken clot. Further management of the postoperative period is normal.

The film is formed within 2-5 minutes after applying BF-6 glue and remains firmly on the skin for 2-3 days, and on the apex of the tooth root for up to 7 days.
