GluNEO test strips are used with the GluNEO meter to measure blood glucose levels.

Test strips should be used within 6 months of first opening the package.

The GluNEO Blood Glucose Monitoring System is plasma calibrated (results are plasma equivalent) so that results can be compared to a laboratory method. GluNEO Blood Glucose Test Strips are intended for in vitro testing (for in vitro diagnostic use only). The monitoring system is intended for self-monitoring by diabetics and monitoring by healthcare professionals.

Technical specifications

Enzyme type: GDH-FAD glucose dehydrogenase with flavin adenine dinucleotide.

This type of enzyme in test strips minimizes the effects of over 20 interfering substances, including maltose (found in kidney medications, candy and cough syrup, rye, barley) and galactose, which are dangerous for accurate glucose levels.

Hematocrit 20% - 65%, allows analysis in people of all ages.

High stability at low and high temperatures.

Due to the fact that oxygen does not affect this enzyme, both capillary and venous blood can be used for self-testing.

The brand new test strip technology is based on an improved enzyme composition (GDH-FAD), which reacts with glucose in a way that minimizes the impact of other carbohydrates in the blood drop.

GDH (glucose dehydrogenase) is an enzyme that causes a reaction that extracts electrons from glucose. FAD (flavin adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme required for the glucose dehydrogenase enzyme reaction.

Thus, test strips with GDH-FAD technology (e.g. GluNeo glucometer strips) do not show reactivity to sugars other than glucose. They also have better heat and oxygen stability.

Important recommendations

Read the instructions carefully before using the GluNeo meter and glucose test strips.

Do not use glucose test strips after the expiration date stated on the package or vial, as this may cause false results.

When you first open the test strip container, note the expiration date on the label. Any unused GluNeo test strips should be discarded 6 months after opening the container.
