Glycerin suppositories Farmina 1.5 g blister No. 10

Glycerin suppositories (candles) - Farmina are indicated for constipation of various etiologies (when the use of oral medications is impossible).

Composition

Active ingredient: glycerol;

1 suppository contains 86% glycerin - 1.5 g;

Excipients: stearic acid, anhydrous sodium carbonate.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Intestinal obstruction, renal failure, appendicitis, bleeding, diarrhea, hemorrhoids in the acute stage, anal fissures, inflammatory diseases, rectal tumors, undiagnosed abdominal pain.

Method of application

Apply 1 suppository once a day 15-20 minutes after breakfast.

The suppository is inserted into the rectum and kept there for at least 5 minutes, unless defecation occurs earlier. The remains of the suppository are excreted from the body with feces. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 2 suppositories per day.

Overdose

In case of overdose, frequent bowel movements and loose stools may occur. This phenomenon resolves on its own after discontinuation of the drug.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, pain, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding are possible.

With prolonged use, irritation and discomfort in the rectum have been observed; sometimes catarrhal proctitis.

Interaction

Glycerin suppositories may reduce the effectiveness of other medications administered rectally. An interval of several hours should be observed.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.

Keep out of reach of children.
