Gorosten solution for external use 0.025%, 100 ml jar, No. 1

Pharmacological properties
The antiseptic drug Gorosten has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal effects. The action is based on the effect on the cell membranes of the microbial cell: decamethoxin destroys the upper membrane layer, loosens the membrane and increases its permeability for large molecular substances. Since most enzymes are fixed on membrane structures, decamethoxin changes the enzymatic activity of the cell, inhibiting enzymatic systems. The hydrophobic radical of decamethoxin contributes to the maximum binding of the drug to the cell membrane of microorganisms, and the cationic radical first reduces and then neutralizes the charge of the microbial cell wall. decamethoxin does not act on the membranes of human cells, since they have a much longer length of lipid radicals and therefore hydrophobic interaction does not occur. Decamethoxin has a pronounced bactericidal effect on gram-positive, gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms: staphylococci, streptococci, diphtheria and Escherichia coli, salmonella, protea, klebsiella, shigella, pseudomonas, clostridia, campylobacter, gardnerella, chlamydia, mycoplasma, etc. Decamethoxin has a fungicidal effect on yeast-like fungi, pathogens of epidermophytosis, trichophytosis, microsporia, some types of mold fungi (aspergillus, penicillin), as well as a virucidal effect on lipophilic viruses, including HIV, hepatitis viruses.
Gorosten has high activity against microorganisms resistant to antibiotics (penicillin, chloramphenicol, tetracycline, streptomycin, gentamicin, neomycin, novobiocin, oleandomycin, cephalosporins, fluoroquinolones, etc.).
The development of strains of microorganisms resistant to Gorosten does not occur even with prolonged use of the drug. Bacteriostatic (fungistatic) concentrations are close to its bactericidal (fungicidal), virucidal, and sporicidal concentrations.
During the use of Gorosten, the sensitivity of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms to antibiotics increases. The glycerin included in Gorosten softens the skin and protects it from irritation with frequent use, even in people with sensitive skin.
The drug is practically not absorbed by mucous membranes, skin and wound surfaces, does not stain the skin, and citral gives it a pleasant lemon smell.
Indication
Disinfection of the skin of the hands of medical personnel, treatment of the skin of the hands of medical personnel before and after performing medical manipulations. treatment of skin areas affected by staphylococcal and streptococcal impetigo, and areas bordering them. disinfection of the skin of the hands in all cases associated with an increased risk of infection and spread of microorganisms dangerous to health. treatment of microtraumas, wiping the skin after depilation and after shaving. hygienic disinfection of the skin.Application
The drug is intended for external use in the form of rubbing and lotions.
Hands are thoroughly washed with running water and soap, soap suds are removed, and the skin is wiped dry. Pour 3-5 ml of Gorosten into the palm of your hand and carefully distribute it over the inner and outer surfaces of the hand, interdigital spaces and periungual areas, and the lower third of the forearm for 1-2 minutes. After that, the skin is dried. If the hands were NOT previously washed with soap, the treatment with Gorosten is carried out twice.
If there is a risk of developing bedsores, Gorosten is rubbed into the appropriate areas of the skin using a cotton swab. If there are bedsores, Gorosten is used in the form of applications.
After shaving, the facial skin is wiped with a swab or palm moistened with the preparation.
Contraindication
Individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Side effects
Skin rashes and irritation may occur, which disappear after discontinuation of the drug. If any side effects occur, consult a doctor!
Special instructions
Do not allow the drug to get on the mucous membrane of the eyes. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse them with plenty of running water.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
There is no data that the drug is contraindicated for external use during pregnancy. It is not recommended for treating nipples during breastfeeding.
Children.
Do not use in children under 1 year of age.
The ability to influence the reaction speed when driving or working with other mechanisms.
Gorosten is prescribed for external use only, so the drug does not affect the reaction speed when driving or working with other mechanisms.
Interactions
Gorosten belongs to cationic surfactants and therefore it is incompatible with soaps and other anionic compounds (sodium lauryl sulfate, saponins) - it is necessary to thoroughly wash off the soap before applying the drug to the skin. Gorosten is compatible with drugs containing cationic surfactants (benzalkonium chloride, ethony and others).
The decamethoxin contained in Gorosten increases the sensitivity of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms to antibiotics.
Heating the drug to 37-38 °C before use significantly increases its antimicrobial effectiveness.
Overdose
Due to the lack of systemic absorption, no cases of overdose have been observed.
Storage conditions
In a place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
