Gripotsitron Rinis nasal spray bottle 15 ml




Nasal spray "Grippocitron Rhinos" is used for the following indications:
symptomatic treatment in children aged 6 years and older and adults of colds, nasal congestion, acute and chronic rhinitis, seasonal (hay fever) and non-seasonal allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic sinusitis, vasomotor rhinitis; adjunctive therapy in acute otitis media; preparation for surgical intervention in the nasal area and elimination of edema of the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses after surgical intervention.Composition
1 ml of the drug contains (active ingredients):
dimethindene maleate - 0.25 mg; phenylephrine - 2.5 mg.Excipients: citric acid, monohydrate; sodium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous; sorbitol (E 420); benzalkonium chloride, peppermint oil; purified water.
Contraindication
hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; due to the content of phenylephrine, the drug, like other vasoconstrictors, is contraindicated in atrophic rhinitis, angle-closure glaucoma, as well as in patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO) or have taken them in the previous 14 days.Method of application
Before administering the drug, the nose should be thoroughly cleaned.
Children from 6 years of age and adults: 1-2 injections into each nostril 3-4 times a day.
The bottle should be held vertically, with the sprayer upwards. Keeping your head straight, insert the tip into the nostril, squeeze the sprayer once with a short, sharp movement and, having pulled the tip out of the nose, release it. During the injection, it is recommended to inhale slightly through the nose. The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days and depends on the severity of the disease.
The use of the drug in children aged 6 to 12 years should be carried out under adult supervision.
Application features
Pregnant women
Studies investigating the use of phenylephrine and dimethindene during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been conducted. Given the potential systemic vasoconstrictor effect of phenylephrine, it is recommended to refrain from using the drug during pregnancy.
It is recommended to refrain from using the drug during breastfeeding.
There are no adequate data on the effects of phenylephrine and dimethindene on human fertility.
Children
Children under 6 years of age should not use the drug in this dosage form.
Drivers
The drug does not affect the reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms.
Overdose
No serious side effects have been reported in accidental use of the drug in young children.
Most cases were asymptomatic, very rarely reported feelings of fatigue, stomach pain, mild tachycardia, increased blood pressure, agitation, insomnia, pallor of the skin. In case of overdose, the drug may cause such sympathomimetic effects as increased heart rate, premature contraction of the ventricles of the heart, pain in the nape, trembling or tremor. Overdose of the drug may cause moderate sedation, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and mild anticholinergic effects.
Treatment: use of activated charcoal, possibly laxatives for young children (gastric lavage is not required); give adults and older children plenty of fluids to drink.
Phenylephrine-induced hypertension can be eliminated by using α-blockers.
Side effects
The drug is usually well tolerated.
Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: nasal discomfort, nasal dryness.
General disorders and administration site reactions: burning sensation at the application site, general weakness, development of allergic reactions (including local skin reactions, body itching, eyelid and face swelling).
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, out of the reach of children.
