Composition
active ingredient: 1 bottle contains hawthorn fruit tincture (Crataegi fructus) (1:10) ((extractant – ethanol 70% (v/v)) 25 ml or 100 ml.
Dosage form
Tincture for oral use.
Main physicochemical properties: transparent liquid from yellow to brown with an orange-reddish tint. During storage, sediment formation is allowed.

Pharmacodynamics
Biologically active substances contained in hawthorn fruits enhance blood circulation in the coronary vessels and cerebral vessels, increase the sensitivity of the myocardium to cardiac glycosides and reduce its excitability, which leads to a certain increase in heart muscle contractions.
Pharmacokinetics
The drug is well absorbed when taken orally. The effect occurs after 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Indication
Functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (including neurocirculatory dystonia), as well as an auxiliary drug for mild forms of heart rhythm disorders (atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal tachycardia).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Severe arterial hypotension and bradycardia.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
Hawthorn tincture should potentiate the effect of cardiac glycosides and antiarrhythmic drugs. Use with alkaloid salts is not recommended due to the possibility of negative complexes. The drug should not be used together with cisapride. May enhance the effect of hypnotics, sedatives, and hypotensive drugs.
Application features
The drug is not recommended to be taken during meals to avoid interaction with its components.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
The drug contains ethyl alcohol and may cause drowsiness, therefore, during the period of use of the drug, you should refrain from driving vehicles or working with potentially dangerous mechanisms.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Contraindicated.
Method of administration and doses
Apply internally before meals. Adults are recommended to take 20 drops of tincture 3 times a day, children from 12 years old - at the rate of 1 drop per 1 year of life 3 times a day until a stable therapeutic effect is achieved.
The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.
In the absence of a dropper stopper for the use of a medicinal product sealed with a stopper, use a glass medical pipette, while the dosage will not change.
Children
The use of the drug is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
Overdose
Symptoms: decreased blood pressure, drowsiness, bradycardia.
Treatment: discontinuation of the drug. Symptomatic therapy.
Adverse reactions
Drowsiness, significant slowing of the heart rate, allergic reactions (including flushing, rash, itching, swelling of the skin).
