Gederin Ointment is a medicine used for coughs and colds. Indications for use - complex therapy of acute respiratory diseases accompanied by rhinitis, nasal congestion, cough, headache; pain in joints and muscles, neuralgia, myositis, arthritis, myalgia, arthralgia, rheumatism, sciatica.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Bronchial asthma, whooping cough, tendency to seizures, damaged or inflamed skin, open wounds in the areas of application, dermatitis, eczema.

Method of application

Externally for rubbing. Adults and children over 6 years of age should apply the ointment in a thin layer 2-4 times a day:

For children aged 3 to 5 years, apply a thin layer of ointment to the upper back 2-3 times a day, but never to the face or wings of the nose.

The ointment should be used with caution during pregnancy, as prescribed by a doctor, taking into account the risk/benefit ratio.

Children

Overdose

A feeling of intense heat and burning sensation at the site of ointment application, possible increased manifestations of adverse reactions. Treatment is symptomatic.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible (including flushing, itching, rash, urticaria), skin irritation, contact dermatitis; headache, dizziness, agitation; possible occurrence of convulsions caused by camphor; bronchospasm. Dermatitis may occur in children.

Store in a tightly closed container at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºС, protected from light and out of the reach of children.
