Pharmacological properties

Hederin ivy - a preparation of plant origin. Biologically active substances of ivy extract - saponin glycosides, which enhance the secretion of bronchial glands, have a secretolytic, expectorant, tonic and tonic effect. Due to the content of tannins, pectins, resins, essential oil, the preparation exhibits anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and wound-healing activity.

Indication

Acute inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system accompanied by cough; symptomatic therapy of chronic inflammatory diseases of the bronchi.

Application

Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use.

Children aged 2-6 years: 2.5 ml of syrup orally 3 times a day.

Children aged 6-10 years. Inside 5 ml of syrup 3 times a day.

Adults and children over 10 years of age. Inside, 5-7.5 ml of syrup 3 times a day using the supplied dosing device.

The duration of the course of therapy is determined individually. In mild cases, the duration of therapy is up to 7 days. To achieve a stable therapeutic effect, it is recommended to continue using the drug for another 2-3 days after the patient's condition improves.

If the patient's condition does not improve, you should consult a doctor regarding further use of the drug.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or other plants of the Araliaceae family. Children under 2 years of age due to the risk of increased severity of respiratory symptoms. Fructose intolerance.

Side effects

In patients with hypersensitivity, allergic reactions (mainly rash) may occur, including shortness of breath, swelling of the mucous membranes, urticaria, itching, rosacea, gastrointestinal disorders, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.

Special instructions

The use of the drug in children aged 2-4 years requires a doctor's recommendation. If the symptoms of the disease do not disappear for a long period of time (more than 4-5 days) or shortness of breath, hyperthermia appear, as well as when purulent sputum or sputum with blood is discharged, you should immediately consult a doctor. It is not recommended to use it simultaneously with antitussive drugs, such as codeine or dextromethorphan, without consulting a doctor. It should be used with caution in patients with gastritis or stomach ulcers.

Sorbitol has a mild laxative effect. The drug does not contain alcohol, sugar and dyes.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Due to the lack of sufficient data, the drug is not recommended for use during these periods. Before using the drug, the doctor should weigh the risk/benefit ratio for this group of patients.

Overdose

Storage conditions
