Description

Composition

Each 10 ml (ml) vial or dropper contains: L-arginine 1000 mg (mg), betaine hydrochloride 500 mg (mg), betaine 500 mg (mg).

Properties

SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN PROPERTIES OF HEPARGIN® INGREDIENTS

Hepargin® is a source of the amino acids L-arginine and betaine, which have cardioprotective, antihypoxic, neuroprotective, cytoprotective, tonic, hepatoprotective, antiasthenic, and detoxifying effects on the body.

L-arginine is an amino acid that belongs to the category of conditionally essential, that is, which are partially synthesized in the body, but in an amount that does not cover the daily human need, therefore L-arginine requires regular intake with food. With various diseases, protein deficiency in the diet, as well as with age, the synthesis of L-arginine in the body decreases sharply.

In case of L-arginine deficiency, the system responsible for removing ammonia from the body and its neutralization first suffers. In the human body, ammonia is a toxic substance, therefore, under normal conditions, ammonia is metabolized into urea. In chronic diseases, viral infections, poisoning, the conversion of ammonia into urea is disrupted. The urea cycle is the most important pathway for neutralizing ammonia; if it fails, the whole body suffers, primarily the liver and kidneys, because high urea concentrations lead to their damage. L-arginine is a substrate for the synthesis of urea in the liver. L-arginine helps neutralize ammonia by activating its conversion into non-toxic urea and accelerating its excretion from the body by the kidneys, and also helps maintain optimal nitrogen balance in the body, promotes the excretion of end nitrogen, reduces the formation of free radicals harmful to liver cells, thereby enhancing the detoxification function of the liver.

L-arginine is the basis for the enzyme NO-synthetase, which acts as a catalyst in the synthesis of nitric oxide in the cells of the vascular endothelial lining. Increased formation of NO leads to dilation of peripheral vessels and a decrease in total peripheral resistance, which contributes to a decrease in blood pressure and a decrease in oxygen starvation of various tissues, primarily the heart muscle, and also improves peripheral blood circulation and oxygen delivery to the brain. L-arginine inhibits the formation of endothelin - a substance that has a powerful vasoconstrictor effect and is a stimulator of the division of smooth muscle cells of the vascular wall.

L-arginine is involved in communication between nerve cells. It promotes synaptic plasticity and improves memory, and is also a mediator (impulse transmitter) that causes relaxation of smooth muscle cells of the stomach, intestines, bladder, and uterus.

Betaine is a lipotropic substance that is an osmoprotector and a donor of methyl groups. As an osmoprotector, betaine protects cells, proteins and enzymes from environmental influences (viral infections, stress, intoxication). As a donor of methyl groups, betaine participates in the methionine cycle, mainly in the liver and kidneys. Insufficient hepatic metabolism of fats leads to hepatic steatosis (accumulation of fat in the liver) and the subsequent development of dyslipidemia. These changes in metabolism can contribute to the development of diseases of the heart, brain, liver and blood vessels. Insufficiency of methyl groups leads to an increased concentration of homocysteine in human plasma. Hyperhomocysteinemia in women is associated with syndromes of repeated miscarriage, preeclampsia, placental abruption, thromboembolism. When converting homocysteine to methionine, betaine can function as an alternative donor of methyl groups. Due to this, betaine can replace defects in methylation reactions caused by impaired functioning of the folate cycle and vitamin B12 deficiency. Betaine increases endurance during physical exertion, performance, helps reduce general weakness and fatigue, provides a surge of strength and energy. Betaine is an important substance for the prevention of chronic diseases. Betaine diet can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, improves reproductive health in women.

Citrate ions contained in Hepargin® promote the digestive process with increased acidity of gastric juice, help reduce acidosis and dyspeptic manifestations (nausea, feeling of heaviness in the stomach, flatulence), which are often observed in liver diseases.

Dietary supplement Hepargin® due to the combination of L-arginine, betaine and citrate ions is a supplement to the diet for acetonemic syndrome. The presence of L-arginine in the amino acid composition, which is involved in metabolic processes (affects ureagenesis (urea synthesis), promotes ammonia excretion) and helps maintain normal blood circulation, as well as betaine, which is involved in methionine metabolism, phospholipid biosynthesis, as a lipotropic agent promotes the mobilization of fats from the liver and their transportation, allows the use of dietary supplement Hepargin® as an additional source of amino acids, the deficiency of which is observed in acetonemic syndrome. Citrate ions are an intermediary in the citrate cycle and are an important component of the synthesis of fatty acids in the cell cytoplasm.

They promote the digestive process in case of increased acidity, reduce acidosis and dyspeptic symptoms, which also helps improve the child's condition.

It may be recommended by a doctor for dietary nutrition as an additional source of the amino acids L-arginine and betaine, which:

  • contribute to the proper functioning of the cardiovascular, immune, hepatobiliary and nervous systems;
  • contribute to the maintenance of reproductive health and are used for dietary correction of homocysteinemia in women;
  • is a supplement to the diet for conditions associated with impaired protein metabolism (stress, asthenia, injuries, viral infections, starvation, etc.), especially in people exposed to harmful environmental factors;
  • used as part of a dietary diet in pregnant women after a doctor's assessment of the benefit/risk ratio;
  • is a supplement to the diet for the correction of acetonemic conditions in children aged 3 years and older;
  • used to increase appetite in children and adults with metabolic disorders caused by harmful external factors (viral infections, starvation, irrational diets, stress, etc.);
  • in order to help eliminate the effects of alcohol, medications, industrial and other toxic, infectious, viral agents.
