Composition

active ingredients: 1 filter bag (1.5 g) contains a mixture of medicinal plant raw materials: bean fruit flaps (Phaseoli fructus (sine semine)) 180 mg, dandelion root (Taraxaci officinalis radix) 180 mg, sand thistle flower (Helichrysi arenarii flos) 180 mg, rosehip fruit (Rosae pseudo-fructus) 180 mg, corn stigmas with stigmas (Zeae maydis styli cum stigmatis) 165 mg, marigold flower (Calendulae flos) 165 mg, galega herb (Galegae herba) 150 mg, nettle leaf (Urticae folium) 150 mg, milk thistle fruit (Silybi mariani fructus) 150 mg.

Pharmacodynamics.

HEPATOPHYT promotes the restoration of liver cells (hepatocytes), improves the antitoxic function of the liver, enhances bile secretion, reduces the tone of the gallbladder and biliary tract, increases the concentration of bile acids and reduces the concentration of cholesterol. Moderately contributes to the reduction of blood sugar levels.

Indication

As part of complex therapy for liver and biliary tract diseases (chronic hepatitis, chronic cholecystitis, cholangitis, hypotonic type biliary dyskinesia); as part of complex therapy for diabetes mellitus.

Contraindication

Arterial hypertension of the 3rd degree, obstructive jaundice, cholelithiasis with stones more than 10 mm in diameter, low blood sugar, acute viral hepatitis, thrombophlebitis, increased blood clotting, acute poisoning of various etiologies; hypersensitivity to any components of the drug or other plants of the aster family (Compositae/Asteraceae).

Special safety precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers in the acute stage, cirrhosis of the liver, acute hepatitis, acute cholecystitis and acute pancreatitis; chronic pancreatitis or enterocolitis in the acute phase.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

There is no data on the safety and efficacy of the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so it should not be prescribed during this period.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

The drug does not affect the ability to drive or operate other mechanisms, but patients with vestibular disorders should exercise caution until their individual reaction is determined.

Method of administration and doses

Pour 150 ml of boiling water over 2 filter bags, let steep in a closed container for 15 minutes.

Adults and children over 7 years old should take 150 ml warm 20–30 minutes before meals 3 times a day.

The duration of use is determined by the doctor. Usually the course of treatment does not exceed 4 weeks. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated as prescribed by the doctor.

Children

The drug is contraindicated in children under 7 years of age.

Overdose

Possible increased manifestations of adverse reactions.

Side effects

The drug is usually well tolerated by patients. However, given its multicomponent composition, allergic reactions are possible, mainly in case of individual hypersensitivity to any of the components or in case of violation of the dosage regimen, in particular:

from the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, heartburn, mild diarrhea;

Respiratory system: shortness of breath;

From the urinary system: increased diuresis;

Skin: allergic reactions, including itching, hyperemia, skin edema;

others: exacerbation of pre-existing vestibular disorders.
