Instructions for Hilo-Dual eye drops 10 ml
Composition
CHYLO-DUAL® is a sterile, preservative-free solution containing 0.5 mg/mL (mg/mL) sodium hyaluronate, 20 mg/mL (mg/mL) ectoine, borate buffer solution, and water.
Description
Sterile eye drops without phosphates and preservatives.
HILO-DUAL® moisturizes the cornea and conjunctiva and protects them from excessive tear evaporation. This stabilizes the tear film, relieves symptoms of eye inflammation due to irritation and allergies. It also eliminates itching and burning sensation in the eyes.
When should you use HILO-DUAL®?
Symptoms of eye irritation include burning, itching, tearing, a foreign body sensation, or dryness in the eyes. These symptoms often indicate that the eyes are not getting enough moisture. Another cause of these symptoms may be a hypersensitivity reaction to certain substances (such as pollen, animal dander, or house dust). Because similar symptoms are seen with allergies, dry eyes can be difficult to distinguish from eye allergies.
In such cases, the use of CHYLO-DUAL® has advantages, since this product combines the dual action of sodium hyaluronate and ectoine.
HILO-DUAL® contains sodium hyaluronate, a substance that is physiologically found in the eyes, as well as other tissues of the body. Sodium hyaluronate has a special ability to form an even, stable, particularly resistant layer of moisture on the surface of the eye, which is not washed off very quickly.
Ectoine is a natural substance produced by microorganisms living in extreme conditions (e.g. salt lakes). To protect themselves from such extreme conditions, these microorganisms produce the natural substance ectoine, the special properties of which are used in the composition of CHILODUAL®.
Ectoine enhances the binding of water by cells of the surface of the eye, which contributes to the formation of a physiological barrier on the cornea, protecting it from substances with an allergenic effect. At the same time, ectoine stabilizes the lipid layer of the tear film, thereby protecting it from excessive evaporation of tears.
The interaction of sodium hyaluronate and ectoine provides intensive long-term hydration of the eye surface and protects them from tear evaporation. HYLO-DUAL® relieves the eyes of typical symptoms - itching and burning sensation, which are observed in inflammatory reactions to irritants in the environment, as well as in allergic reactions.
Recommendations for use
To moisturize dry eyes, stabilize the tear film, and reduce inflammatory and allergic symptoms such as itching and burning in the eyes.
Method of application
HILO-DUAL® can only be used if the cardboard box is not damaged before first use.
Before use, remove the cap from the bottle. To do this, hold the cap only above the bottle. With the other hand, pull the bottle sideways in a circular motion. Before first use, turn the HILO-DUAL® bottle with the tip down and press the bottom of the bottle until the first drop appears on the tip. The bottle is now ready for further use.
Hold the bottle upside down, holding the bottle's lip with your thumb and the bottom of the container with your other fingers.
Support the hand holding the KOMOD® bottle with your other hand, as shown in the picture.
Tilt your head back slightly, gently pull back your lower eyelid and press the center of the bottom of the bottle with a strong and quick movement. This activates the mechanism to release a single drop. Thanks to the special valve of the KOMOD® system, the size and speed of the drops will be the same, regardless of the force applied to the bottom of the bottle. Slowly close your eyes to ensure that the liquid is evenly distributed over the surface of the eye.
Close the bottle cap immediately after use. Make sure the dropper tip is dry. When instilling, avoid any contact of the bottle tip with the eyes or skin.
HILO-DUAL® can be used indefinitely.
Each bottle of CHILODUAL® can only be used by one consumer.
Application features
If you are using any other eye drops, you should leave at least a 30-minute interval between instillations, and always instill HILO-DUAL® last. However, eye ointments should always be applied after using HILO-DUAL drops.
Since HILO-DUAL® does not contain preservatives, it is well tolerated even with prolonged use. In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as a burning sensation or excessive tearing have been reported, which disappeared immediately after discontinuation of HILO-DUAL®.
HILO-DUAL® can be used while wearing contact lenses. In order to avoid the development of incompatibility reactions due to the interaction between contact lens care products and HILO-DUAL® drops, it is recommended not to instill HILO-DUAL® within 30 minutes after inserting contact lenses.
There are no data on the use of CHILODUAL® during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using CHILODUAL® if you are pregnant, may be pregnant or are breastfeeding.
HILO-DUAL® should be used as directed by your doctor. Adults and children over 6 years of age should usually instill one drop of HILO-DUAL® three times a day into the conjunctival sac of each eye. In the case of more frequent use (e.g. more than 10 times a day) or in the case of more serious complaints, you should regularly consult an ophthalmologist. HILO-DUAL® is suitable for long-term use. However, as with all persistent symptoms, you should consult an ophthalmologist with all complaints if they do not disappear, for example within 2 weeks.
Contraindication
HILO-DUAL® should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the eye drops, as well as in children under 6 years of age.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. CHILODUAL® can be used within 6 months after first opening the bottle.
Do not use after the expiration date.

Bottle of 10 mL (ml) of eye drops. Keep out of reach of children.
