HomeTest Ovulation Test Set #5 and Pregnancy Test Set #1

Ovulation test, 5 test strips + 1 pregnancy test strip HomeTest detects an increase in the level of luteinizing hormone (LH) in the urine. LH is a fertility hormone and is found in the urine of every healthy woman. The sensitivity of HomeTest allows it to be detected at a concentration of 15 mIU/ml and above. 24-48 hours before ovulation, the amount of the hormone increases sharply. Ovulation is the process of the release of a mature egg, ready for fertilization, from the ovaries into the abdominal cavity. With a regular menstrual cycle, ovulation occurs every month approximately in the middle of the cycle. Two days after the peak of LH release are considered the most favorable for conception. The period during which you can get pregnant is quite short, because the life of the egg is about 24 hours, and spermatozoa retain the ability to fertilize for 72 hours.
Advantages
Disposable urine-based home ovulation tests are very similar to pregnancy tests, but they need to be used daily throughout your menstrual cycle.
Ovulation tests are much more accurate than the basal temperature method, but unfortunately, this method is more expensive.
The test can be performed at any time of the day, but at the same time. Before taking it, refrain from urinating for at least 4 hours and do not drink too much fluid (this can reduce the amount of LH in the urine and reduce the reliability of the result).
How to use
When should the test be performed?
For most women with regular menstrual cycles, only 5 days is enough. To determine the day to start testing, subtract 17 days from the number of days in your complete cycle. For example, if your cycle is 28 days, you should start testing on day 11 (28-17 = 11). If your cycle is irregular, use the shortest cycle to count. If there is no LH surge within 5 days, you should continue testing for a few more days.
No special training is required, just follow the instructions.
LH synthesis occurs early in the morning, and its manifestation in the urine occurs throughout the day.
The best time to test is between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Always test at the same time. For single use only.
Test strips should be removed from the packaging immediately before testing; they should not be stored unpackaged. To begin the test, you must place your urine in a clean, dry container. Many kits come with a special urine container. The strip should then be immersed in the urine for approximately 5 seconds, then removed and placed in a dry place.
The test strip should usually be white. After a few minutes (the exact time is best to check the instructions, but usually no more than 10 minutes), the strip may change its appearance.
Possible changes to the appearance of the strip:
no line – poor-quality or expired test; there is only one (control) line – no LH; one line and a pale second line next to it – no LH or its concentration is very low; If a control line appears and the second line is darker or the same intensity as the control line, this indicates a high LH concentration, and ovulation should be expected.Storage is prohibited after opening.
