Composition
active ingredient: hydrogen peroxide;
100 ml of solution contain hydrogen peroxide (30%) 10.0 g;
Excipients: sodium benzoate (E211), purified water.

Pharmacological properties
When hydrogen peroxide solution comes into contact with damaged skin and mucous membranes, active oxygen is released, which helps cleanse the wound surface and inactivate organic substances (protein, blood, pus). When using the drug, there is only a temporary reduction in the number of microorganisms. The drug has a hemostatic effect.
Indication
The drug is used to stop capillary bleeding in case of superficial tissue damage, nosebleeds, for treating the mucous membrane in case of stomatitis, periodontitis, tonsillitis, gynecological diseases, as well as in case of purulent wounds.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Application features
Applying the solution to the dressing ensures painless removal from the wound. The large amount of foam formed contributes to the mechanical cleaning of the wound from pus and tissue detritus. The drug should be used with caution for the treatment of deep wounds and irrigation of cavities, taking into account the possibility of embolism.
The drug is unstable in alkaline environments, in the presence of metals, complex radicals of some oxidants, as well as in a lighted and warm place. Avoid contact of the solution with the eyes.

Method of administration and doses
Hydrogen peroxide solution is applied to the damaged area of the skin to disinfect wounds per se (i.e. without dilution). For rinsing, dissolve 1 tablespoon in 1 glass of water; for applications, treatment of wound surfaces, stopping bleeding (capillary), the affected areas are treated with a tampon soaked in hydrogen peroxide solution. The duration of treatment depends on the effect achieved.

Side effects
A burning sensation is possible at the time of wound treatment. In some cases, with individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, local allergic reactions may occur. With prolonged use for treatment of the oral mucosa, hypertrophy of the tongue papillae is possible.
