Hydroxyzine-ZN tablets are indicated for:
In the symptomatic treatment of anxiety disorders in adults; as a sedative during premedication; as a symptomatic therapy for pruritus.Composition
active ingredient: hydroxyzine;
1 tablet contains hydroxyzine hydrochloride 25 mg;
excipients: celactose 80 [mixture of lactose monohydrate and powdered cellulose (75:25)], colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol 400, titanium dioxide (E 171).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients of the drug, cetirizine, other piperazine derivatives, aminophylline or ethylenediamine Porphyria. QT prolongation. Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Hereditary galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.Method of application

Overdose
Overdose of the drug may manifest as pronounced anticholinergic effects, depression or paradoxical stimulation of the central nervous system. Symptoms of significant overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, hyperthermia, drowsiness, pupillary reflex disorders, tremor, hallucinations, impaired consciousness, respiratory depression, convulsions, arterial hypotension, cardioarrhythmia. The severity of coma may increase and cardiorespiratory collapse may occur.
Adverse reactions
The following adverse reactions have been observed in clinical studies with cetirizine, the main metabolite of hydroxyzine: thrombocytopenia, aggression, depression, tics, dystonia, paresthesias, oculogyric crisis, diarrhea, dysuria, urinary incontinence, weakness, edema, weight gain. Therefore, these reactions may potentially occur with the use of hydroxyzine.
Interaction
It is necessary to take into account the increased effect of Hydroxyzine-ZN when used simultaneously with drugs that depress the central nervous system (CNS) or have anticholinergic properties. In this case, their dosage is selected individually. Alcohol also potentiates the effects of Hydroxyzine-ZN.
