Composition

1 g of ointment contains 0.1 g of ichthyol;

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
The pharmacological properties of ichthyol ointment are due to the action of biologically active substances of ichthyol. Ichthyol ointment exhibits antimicrobial (bactericidal and bacteriostatic), anti-inflammatory and local analgesic effects.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied externally, ichthyol ointment is practically not absorbed into the systemic bloodstream and does not exhibit a resorptive effect.
Indication
Burns, eczema, erysipelas, neuralgia, arthritis.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
When used simultaneously with drugs for external use, new compounds with unpredictable effects may be formed. Incompatible with solutions of iodide salts, alkaloids, and salts of heavy metals.
Application features
Avoid contact of the ointment with mucous membranes. Hands should be washed thoroughly after applying the ointment to prevent ointment residues from getting into the eyes, nose, and mouth.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
The effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms has not been described.
