Ichthyol ointment 10% tube 30 g

Ichthyol ointment is indicated for burns, eczema, erysipelas, neuralgia, and arthritis.

Composition

Active ingredient: ichthyol;

1 g of ointment contains ichthyol 100 mg;

Excipients: white soft paraffin.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Method of application

Apply externally. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin 2-3 times a day and covered with a bandage. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the course of the disease and the effectiveness of therapy.

Pregnant women

Breastfeeding women should avoid contact of the ointment with the nipples. The safety and efficacy of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been studied.

Overdose

There have been no reports of overdose.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, skin irritation (burning, itching, rash, redness of the skin) are possible, especially at the beginning of treatment and with prolonged use. If severe skin irritation or other unusual reactions occur, the use of the ointment should be discontinued.

Interaction

When used simultaneously with drugs for external use, new compounds with unpredictable effects may be formed. Incompatible with solutions of iodide salts, alkaloids, and salts of heavy metals.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.

Keep out of reach of children.

Shelf life - 5 years.
