Inoseda tablets 500 mg No. 20

Inoseda is a direct-acting antiviral agent. It is indicated for herpes infection and other viral diseases with confirmed immune system disorders.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the active substance and/or to any of the excipients of the medicinal product.

Method of application

The drug should be used in a dose of 6–8 tablets per day, divided into 4–8 doses.

The above dosage regimen is usually sufficient to treat most viral infections. The duration of treatment varies depending on the type of disease.

The drug is usually continued for 1 or 2 days after symptoms disappear.

Application features

The drug should be used with caution in patients with gout (due to a possible increase in uric acid levels in blood plasma and urine). In case of long-term treatment, regular monitoring of uric acid levels in blood plasma and urine should be carried out.

Pregnant women

Despite the absence of teratogenic effects in animals, the use of the drug in the first trimester of pregnancy is possible only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Children

This dosage form of the medicine is not intended for use in children. Children over 1 year of age should be given the medicine in syrup form.

Drivers

Inosine does not affect the reaction rate when driving or using other mechanisms.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been observed. The half-lethal dose (LD50) exceeds the therapeutic dose of inosine by more than 40 times.

Side effects

The only permanent adverse reaction during treatment with inosine is a temporary increase in uric acid levels in blood plasma and urine, which returns to the initial normal values a few days after the end of treatment.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºС in a place inaccessible to children.
