Instilan is intended for irrigation of the bladder cavity with the formation of a viscous elastic film on the mucous membrane. Irrigation provides temporary protection and restoration of the mucous membrane of the bladder during various surgical interventions, inflammation of the bladder, and radiation therapy of the pelvic organs.

Indications for use

Temporary protection and restoration of the bladder mucosa after various procedures (cystoscopy, radiotherapy, etc.). Chronic/recurrent cystitis interstitial cystitis overactive bladder urinary retention due to cystitis or tumor radiation cystitis

Mechanism of action

Hyaluronic acid is a part of all tissues of the body, is the most important component of the intercellular matrix and constitutes a significant part of the glycosaminoglycans of the bladder and urethra (urinary canal). When introduced into the bladder cavity, it creates a viscoelastic film on the surface of the mucous membrane, which protects it from external influences during various manipulations (urethroscopy, cystoscopy, TUR of the prostate and bladder, radiotherapy of the pelvic organs, etc.)

Method of application

Before use, check the integrity of the package. Check the expiration date indicated on the package (do not use after the expiration date). Before administering Instilan, the bladder must be emptied. The temperature of the package before use must be at least 20°C. Instilan is administered into the bladder using a urological catheter for a period of 30 minutes to 2 hours, 1 instillation per week. The course is from 4 days to 12 instillations.

sodium hyaluronate – 80 mg phosphate buffer pH 7.3 - up to 50 ml

Reservation

Instilan is only suitable for administration into the bladder cavity using a urological catheter. Before use, check the integrity and tightness of the package. Do not use the product if it is damaged or spoiled. Do not use after the expiration date. The product is intended for single use only. Avoid administration into blood vessels.
