Composition
active ingredient: iodine;
100 ml of solution contain 5 g of iodine;
Excipients: potassium iodide, ethanol 96%, purified water.

Pharmacodynamics
The drug contains elemental iodine, which is characterized by antimicrobial, local irritant and distracting effects. When applied to the skin and mucous membranes, the drug causes an irritating effect and can cause reflex changes in the body's activity.
Pharmacokinetics
Penetrating, iodine actively affects metabolism, enhancing dissimilation processes.
Indication
It is used externally as an antiseptic, irritant agent for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, for treating the surgical field, for preventing infection of small skin lesions, and for reducing inflammatory processes in myositis and neuralgia.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to iodine. The drug is also contraindicated in diabetic and trophic ulcers.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
When used simultaneously with preparations for external use containing organic compounds, denaturation of protein components may occur.
Incompatible with essential oils, ammonia solution, brilliant green. Incompatible with disinfectant drugs containing mercury enzymes, alkalis, reducing agents.

Application features
Caution should be exercised when applying iodine to mucous membranes, as the alcohol contained in the preparation can cause burns and severe irritation. Avoid contact with the eyes. Particular caution should be exercised when applying iodine to patients with blond hair.
