Composition

active ingredient: aqueous extract of Icelandic moss;

1 lozenge contains 80 mg of aqueous extract of Iceland moss (Iceland moos) (0.4-0.8:1); extractant: water; contains sucrose (1:1.7375);

excipients: acacia (gum arabic), sucrose, light mineral oil, ammonia caramel (E 150 c), purified water;

1 lozenge contains 424 mg of sucrose, which corresponds to 0.035 bread units.

Main physicochemical properties: flat, unevenly rounded, lenticular, brownish in color, rubbery lozenges, the presence of air bubbles is allowed.

The medicinal product Isla-Moos contains an extract from the medicinal plant Cetraria islandica (Icelandic moss), which is well known for its therapeutic effect in inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract.

The therapeutic effect of the drug Isla-Moos in catarrhal diseases of the respiratory tract is based on the antimicrobial activity and immunostimulating properties of the plant extract contained in it, which is proven by the results of scientific research. The drug Isla-Moos has protective properties, it can be used prophylactically, for example, in case of special sensitivity of the respiratory tract or with increased load on them (including when playing sports).

Polysaccharides coat the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and effectively protect them from the effects of harmful external factors and various types of irritants.

Prophylactic use of the drug Isla-Moos can reduce the susceptibility of the respiratory tract to various types of infections. The drug does not irritate the stomach.

Indication

Cough, including bronchitis; hoarseness (laryngitis, pharyngitis); bronchial asthma (as an adjuvant). Stress on the vocal cords (in singers, teachers, lecturers).

Dryness of mucous membranes in insufficiently humidified rooms during the heating period, as well as with limited nasal breathing or during sports activities.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the medicinal product.

Method of administration and doses

Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 1 lozenge every hour (up to 12 lozenges per day), children aged 4 to 12 years - 1 lozenge every 2 hours (up to 6 lozenges per day), allowing them to slowly dissolve in the mouth.

Due to the good tolerability of the Isla-Moos drug, it can be used for a long time.

After the symptoms of Isla-Moos disease disappear, it should be taken for a few more days in order to achieve a lasting therapeutic effect.

If persistent symptoms of the disease do not decrease or worsen within 4–5 days, if shortness of breath, fever, and purulent and bloody sputum appear, you should immediately consult a doctor.

Children

The drug is intended for children aged 4 and over, as the lozenges must be held in the mouth, allowing them to dissolve slowly.
