Ketonal rapid 80 mg sachet No. 12

Ketonal Rapid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic drug. A derivative of propionic acid. For short-term symptomatic treatment of the following types of acute pain from mild to moderate severity:

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs or to any of the excipients.

Gastrointestinal bleeding or perforations resulting from NSAID treatment.

Leukopenia or thrombocytopenia.

Chronic dyspepsia.

Method of application

50 mg ketoprofen (equivalent to 80 mg ketoprofen lysine salt) three times a day.

The maximum daily dose is 200 mg of ketoprofen, which corresponds to 320 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt.

The risks and benefits should be carefully weighed before starting treatment with a daily dose of ketoprofen 200 mg.

Higher doses are not recommended.

Application features

Cases of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration and perforation, including fatal cases, have been reported with any NSAID treatment, regardless of the presence of warning symptoms or a history of severe gastrointestinal disorders.

Pregnant women

Ketoprofen is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Children

The drug is not recommended for use in the treatment of children under 16 years of age.

Drivers

The medicine has little or no effect on the ability to drive or use machines.

Overdose

Cases of overdose with doses up to 2.5 g of ketoprofen have been reported. In most cases, the symptoms were mild and limited to lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, headache, dizziness and diarrhea.

Side effects

Infections and infestations: aseptic meningitis, lymphangitis.

From the blood and lymphatic system: hemorrhagic anemia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, bone marrow depression, hemolytic anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, aplastic anemia, leukocytosis, thrombocytopenic purpura.

Immune system disorders: anaphylactic reactions (including shock), swelling of the oral mucosa, hypersensitivity.

Storage conditions

No special storage conditions are required. Keep out of the reach of children.
