Kuznetsov applicator massager

Kuznetsov massager - a means of reflexological influence on the human body), a flexible plastic plate or elastic belt with many spikes, which is applied with pressure to any part of the body for therapeutic purposes (created by I. I. Kuznetsov). It was originally developed as a remedy for sleepwalking.
Methods of pressing the applicator to the body
The Tibetan applicator (Kuznetsov applicator) can be pressed to the surface of the body in three ways:
Using body weight
This method is the most effective and convenient, because with this method the pressure of the needles on the skin is most uniform over the entire surface. For this type of massage, it is recommended to use a large soft rug, as well as rollers for the lower back or neck. The needle massager is placed on a hard horizontal surface, most often on the floor, and then you lie down or sit on it. You can also use a sofa or bed, but only if they are hard enough. During the massage, you need to periodically rise and slightly move relative to the applicator to change the point of application of the needles. This method is suitable for the back, abdomen, buttocks, neck, etc. The advantage of this method is that it does not require any effort from the person, so the effect can be long-lasting. A feature of massage using body weight is that it is impossible to adjust the force with which the needles are pressed. Therefore, applicators with less sharp needles are most often used.
A special feature is the use of body weight on the soles of the feet. For foot massage, it is recommended to use a large soft mat or a special foot mat.
For a sharper tone, it is recommended to use sharper needles, otherwise - less sharp ones. Foot massage is performed in a standing position. If necessary, you can adjust the pressure of the needles on the feet by resting your hands on the back of a chair, table or windowsill. If the procedure seems too painful for you, you can massage your feet while sitting on a chair.
Using hands
In this case, a small massage pad is used. It is placed on the desired area and pressed with your hands. Every 15-20 seconds, slightly move the pad relative to the surface of the body. This method is used to massage the neck, head, joints, arms, legs, etc. The advantage of this is the ability to adjust the force of the needles (therefore, we recommend using an applicator with sharper needles). The disadvantage is that it requires some physical effort.
Using an elastic belt
This option has some drawbacks. First, as practice shows, with this method it is quite difficult to achieve optimal and uniform pressure of the needles on the surface of the body. The only exception may be a specially designed, wide, completely neoprene belt, which can freely move a special pad with prickly elements attached to it. Second, the applicator, fixed to the body, will affect the same points throughout the procedure, so experts advise periodically moving the applicator relative to the surface of the body. This is because the point of impact of each needle gradually "gets used to" and the intensity of the impact decreases. Third, our skin is elastic and when the body is tilted forward, the lower back is stretched.
If an applicator is attached to the belt at this moment, its pressed needles will slide over the surface of the skin, scratching it and causing pain.
Therefore, even with a wide, high-quality neoprene belt, it is not recommended to engage in active activities.
