L-May oral drops 5 mg/ml 20 ml

L-May oral drops are used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis (including perennial allergic rhinitis) and urticaria.
Composition
The active substance is levocetirizine (1 ml (20 drops) contains 5 mg of levocetirizine dihydrochloride).
Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), sodium acetate trihydrate, glacial acetic acid, propylene glycol, glycerin, sodium saccharin, purified water.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, to any other piperazine derivatives or to any other excipient of this medicinal product; severe chronic renal failure (creatinine clearance <10 ml/minute).Method of application
The drug is prescribed to adults and children over 2 years of age.
For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, the recommended daily dose is 5 mg (20 drops) once a day.
Method of use
The drops should be dripped into a spoon or dissolved in a small amount of water and taken orally. If the drops are taken in diluted form, it should be taken into account, especially when used in children, that the volume of water to which the drops are added should correspond to the amount of liquid that the patient is able to swallow. The diluted solution should be taken immediately.
When counting drops, the bottle should be held vertically upside down. If there is no flow of drops or if the correct number of drops has not been obtained due to cessation of flow, the bottle should be turned vertically and then upside down again and continue counting drops.
The drug can be taken regardless of meals.
Duration of use
Patients with intermittent allergic rhinitis (duration of symptoms less than 4 days per week or less than 4 weeks per year) should be treated according to the course of the disease and history: treatment can be stopped if symptoms disappear, and resumed again if symptoms reappear. In the case of persistent allergic rhinitis (duration of symptoms more than 4 days per week or more than 4 weeks per year), the patient can be offered continuous therapy for the period of contact with allergens. There is clinical experience with the use of levocetirizine for at least 6 months of treatment.
In chronic diseases (chronic allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria), the duration of treatment is up to 1 year (data are available from clinical studies using the original cetirizine (racemic mixture)).
Application features
Pregnant women
Levocetirizine is contraindicated during pregnancy. Cetirizine passes into breast milk, so if necessary, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
Children
The use of levocetirizine in children under 2 years of age is not recommended due to limited data in this age group.
The medicine should be used in children aged 2 years and over.

You should refrain from driving and working with potentially dangerous mechanisms during treatment.
Overdose
