Labilact capsules No. 10

composition
1 capsule contains: live lyophilized bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium adolescerrtis -109 CFU/g; lactulose - 20 mg.
Properties
Lactobacteria are one of the dominant microorganisms of the normal microflora of the female genital tract, performing a protective function in the vagina. By fermenting glycogen of the vaginal epithelium, lactobacilli produce a number of organic acids that maintain low pH values in the vagina, the production of hydrogen peroxide by lactobacilli is one of the most important protective mechanisms, creating unfavorable conditions for the colonization and development of pathogenic microorganisms. Bifidobacteria are fixed on the surface of the epithelial cells of the vagina. They also belong to acid-producing microorganisms and participate in maintaining a low pH level. In addition, bifidobacteria produce bacteriocins, lysozyme, alcohols and are factors of colonization resistance of the vagina against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms.
Lactulose is a selective nutrient medium for the introduced bacteria. Its presence in the preparation Labilact allows the development of beneficial bacteria even in the absence of endogenous glycogen. The products of bacterial metabolism of lactulose (short-chain fatty acids) also reduce the pH of the vaginal contents.
