Labium cream 1% 5 g




Labium cream is indicated for herpes labialis.
Composition
active ingredient: penciclovir;
1 g of cream contains penciclovir (calculated as 100% dry matter) 10 mg;
excipients: propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol 20 cetostearyl ether, white soft paraffin, mineral oil, purified water.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to penciclovir, famciclovir or other components of the drug (e.g. propylene glycol). Should not be used in patients with immunodeficiency.
Method of application
For adults (including elderly patients) and children aged 12 years and over.
The cream should be applied every 2 hours (except during sleep), trying to apply only to the skin areas affected by herpes. The course of treatment is 4 days. It is advisable to start treatment as early as possible at the first signs of infection. Wash your hands before applying the cream.

Pregnant women
Since minimal systemic absorption of penciclovir was observed in clinical studies after topical application, there are no concerns regarding the use of the cream during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Children
Studies of the drug's effects on children under 12 years of age have not been conducted.
Drivers
There is no evidence of any effect of the drug on the ability to drive or operate other mechanisms.
Overdose
Overdose is unlikely with topical application. Even in the event of accidental oral ingestion of the entire package, no adverse effects will be observed, since oral absorption of penciclovir is low. However, some irritation of the oral cavity may occur. No specific therapeutic measures are necessary in the event of accidental oral ingestion of the entire package.
Side effects
General disorders and administration site conditions: common (≥1/100, <1/10): application site reactions (including application site pain, hypoesthesia, burning sensation, tingling, numbness).
Immune system disorders: frequency unknown: hypersensitivity reactions, including urticaria.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: frequency unknown: allergic dermatitis (including rash, itching, blisters and swelling, including of the face and lips).
Interaction
No interactions with the simultaneous use of other drugs (local or systemic action) were identified during the use of the drug during clinical studies.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
