Lactagel vaginal gel restores the natural environment of the vagina and relieves symptoms - heavy discharge, discomfort and unpleasant odor, and is used for bacterial vaginosis.

Lactagel gel contains lactic acid and glycogen.

Lactic acid helps lower the pH of the vagina (i.e. creates a more acidic environment), which is unsuitable for the development of pathogenic bacteria and fungi.

Glycogen is a nutrient medium necessary for the reproduction of lactobacteria.

Normalizes the pH value (pH = 3.8-4.5) and creates appropriate conditions for the reproduction of lactobacteria.

Appointment

Lactagel is recommended for use in the presence of specific symptoms of vaginosis: unpleasant odor and discharge and vaginal discomfort caused by pathogenic microflora, if necessary to prevent bacterial vaginosis, during a course of antibiotic treatment or the use of antifungal drugs that require maintaining normal pH values.

Method of application

It is recommended to use Lactagel before going to bed, as some of the gel may leak out. It is recommended to use sanitary pads for underwear.

To eliminate the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis – heavy discharge, unpleasant odor, vaginal discomfort – use 1 tube daily for 7 days.

To maintain the natural pH level of the vagina and prevent the appearance of BV symptoms - use 1-2 tubes per week.

Maintaining the natural pH level of the vagina during a course of antibiotics and/or antifungal medications – use 1 tube per day during a course of antibiotic therapy.

Treatment of BV symptoms after menstruation – after the end of menstruation, use 1 tube per day for 1-2 days.

Contraindications and precautions

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug Lactagel.

Lactagel should be avoided when trying to conceive, as the low pH of the vagina negatively affects sperm activity.

Lactagel should not be used as a contraceptive.

Do not use after the expiration date! Do not use the tube if its integrity is broken.

Lactagel can be used during pregnancy, but if you suspect a vaginal infection during pregnancy, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
