Properties
LadyVista Pregnal – a formula for a healthy pregnancy. A complex of vitamins and nutrients to promote the normal course of pregnancy and the development of the child.
Polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 PUFAs) play an important role in the course of pregnancy and fetal formation. With a deficiency of omega-3 PUFAs, the risk of perinatal pathology, disorders of mental and physical development of the fetus, congenital defects of the nervous system, vision, heart, complications during pregnancy increases. Omega-3 PUFAs when planning pregnancy contribute to improving the maturation of germ cells (eggs, sperm), increasing the likelihood of fertilization and normalizing the fertilization process.
Omega-3 PUFAs during pregnancy contribute to the formation, maturation and proper functioning of the placenta; improve blood circulation in the placenta; reduce the risks of its premature detachment; also contribute to the normalization of the course of pregnancy, reduce the risks of developing gestosis (toxicosis), miscarriage and premature birth, placental insufficiency, and intrauterine growth retardation. In the postpartum period, consumption of omega-3 PUFAs reduces the risk of developing postpartum depression, helps improve mood, memory, and regulation of metabolic processes.
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) belongs to the group of omega-3 PUFAs that are not synthesized in the human body. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the body's need for DHA increases, and the amount coming from food sources is insufficient. DHA consumption by a woman during pregnancy and breastfeeding contributes to the proper development of the retina, nervous and immune systems of the fetus and newborn.
The formation of the fetal brain occurs by the 9th week of pregnancy, so women planning to become pregnant are advised to take DHA before conception. DHA crosses the placenta from mother to fetus and is also excreted in breast milk.
Folate is essential for women planning pregnancy and pregnant women, as low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the fetus. Folate deficiency leads to a range of abnormalities of the brain, limbs, ears, urinary system, as well as cleft palate and cardiovascular defects in the fetus. Sufficient folate levels in the mother’s body are essential for normal fetal development and growth. Daily folic acid intake is recommended before conception, during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. Folates play an important role in amino acid metabolism, protein and nucleic acid synthesis (primarily DNA and RNA), and chromosome repair. They contribute to the production of certain hormones and hormone-like substances, the synthesis of neurotransmitters, participate in the processes of growth and cell division, contribute to the normal formation of fetal organs, are necessary for the formation and functioning of the hematopoietic and immune systems, and the processes of detoxification of the body. Folates help reduce the level of homocysteine in the blood, which affects the improvement of blood microcirculation, in particular in the placenta. Folates help to assimilate carbohydrates, improve energy production in cells, participate in the regulation of blood sugar levels, and increase the sensitivity of cells to insulin. Taking folates helps to reduce fatigue and maintain the physiological functions of a woman's body during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) is an active metabolic form of folic acid (vitamin B9), which is directly absorbed by cells and does not require transformation in the body. The use of methyltetrahydrofolate is important for women with insufficient absorption of folic acid.
Iron is necessary for the synthesis of red blood cells and hemoglobin, participates in the transport of oxygen to the cells of all body systems, the functioning of the immune system, cell division. Iron contributes to normal metabolism, reduces fatigue and weakness.
Iodine helps to normalize the functioning of the thyroid gland and the production of its hormones, improve the functioning of the nervous system, maintain cognitive functions, ensure proper energy metabolism and help keep the skin healthy. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, the need for iodine increases, so a sufficient intake of iodine into the body is especially important. Iodine contributes to the normal development of cognitive function and growth in children. Therefore, even before pregnancy, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient supply of iodine in the body.
