Lavinal® anti-lice spray is a therapeutic and prophylactic anti-pediculosis agent based on essential oils.
The anti-lice spray "Lavinal®" belongs to the group of contact-type anti-pediculosis agents by its mechanism of action, has a pronounced insecticidal and ovicidal effect, and quickly kills both head lice and their eggs - nits, thanks to the special composition of essential oils.
Thanks to the antiseptic and reparative effect of lavender and ylang-ylang essential oils, Lavinal® helps to quickly eliminate itching and irritation resulting from scalp scratching and allergic reactions to lice saliva, helps to soothe the skin after scratching, promotes rapid healing of micro-wounds in the areas of bites and scratching. At the same time, essential oils change the surface tension of the glue that sticks nits to the hair. This allows you to easily comb out nits using a special metal comb included in the product.
Lavender essential oil is a powerful natural repellent (repels lice) and provides protection against reinfection, which allows us to recommend Lavinal® spray also for the effective prevention of head lice.
Unlike previous generations of anti-lice products (organochlorine and organophosphorus insecticides), head lice do not develop resistance to Lavinal® anti-lice spray. The product does not lose its effectiveness with repeated applications.
A special thick comb with long teeth allows you to thoroughly and effectively comb out lice and nits even from thick, curly and long hair. Unlike plastic combs, the metal teeth of the comb are not flexible, do not break, are located tightly to each other, so lice cannot escape them. The comb is designed for long-term, repeated use, does not break and is easy to disinfect.
One 100 ml bottle of Lavinal® anti-lice spray is enough for two treatments for 1 to 4 people.
Composition
Active ingredients: lavender essential oil – 3-4%, ylang-ylang essential oil – 3-4%;
Excipients: preservative - 0.5-0.10%, solvent - water-alcoholic mint extract - up to 100%.
Method of application
1. Treat the infected person's hair. Apply Lavinal® spray to dry hair - first at the roots of the hair, and then along its entire length, until the hair is slightly damp and evenly coated with the product. Pay special attention to the areas at the back of the head and behind the ears. Avoid getting the product in the eyes.
2. Put on the protective cap included with the product. Wait 30 minutes, remaining in the cap. Remove the cap and gently rinse the product from the hair with warm running water.
3. Wash your hair with shampoo.
The steps described in points 1 and 2 allow you to destroy lice and nits. However, dead nits remain firmly attached to the hair. Instead of regular shampoo and conditioner, it is recommended to use Herbal Shampoo for Hair Care after using the anti-lice product "Lavinal®", which allows you to "unstick" the remaining dead nits, makes them much easier to comb, returns the hair to a healthy appearance, silkiness and shine, and protects against re-infection.
Apply the shampoo and gently massage your scalp (paying special attention to the nape of your neck and behind your ears). Wait a few minutes, then rinse the shampoo off with warm water.
4. Remove dead lice and nits. Before drying your hair, you must carefully comb out dead lice and nits with a special metal comb with long teeth, which is included in the product. Comb wet hair with a clean comb. Carefully divide the hair into sections, comb through the hair row by row, strand by strand, removing dead lice and nits. Slowly comb each strand, starting as close as possible - close to the scalp, downwards - in the direction from the scalp to the tips
hair. Move all strands free of lice and nits to one side.
When combing out lice and nits, clean the comb from nits as often as possible with a cotton swab - after combing out each individual strand. You should try to thoroughly comb out all the nits remaining on the hair. If the hair dries out, it is necessary to moisten it with water.
5. To avoid re-infestation, on the same day, treat all textiles and items that the person affected by lice has come into contact with (bedding, hats, collars, brushes, combs, toys, etc.). To disinfest clothes and items, it is enough to wash them at a temperature not lower than 70°C and iron them with a hot iron, especially seams, folds, etc.
It is also necessary to do a wet cleaning, thoroughly vacuum all carpets, upholstered furniture, car upholstery, etc., after which the vacuum cleaner bag must be thrown away.
To avoid infection with pediculosis in all family members, it is recommended to treat the hair of all persons who have been in contact with a person affected by pediculosis with the spray for protection against lice "Lavinal®-Prophylactic".
6. On the 8th-10th day, it is absolutely recommended to re-treat the infected person's hair with Lavinal® Anti-Lice Spray (repeat the procedure described above). Even if some nits or lice remain, a repeated procedure on the 8th-10th day allows you to destroy all lice at all stages of the parasite's life cycle. After that, you can be sure that all lice and nits are destroyed.
1 bottle of Lavinal® 100 ml is enough, depending on the length and thickness of the hair, for 2 to 8 applications or for a double treatment for 1 to 4 people.
