Levofloxacin-Health tablets are indicated for infections caused by sensitive microorganisms:
acute bacterial rhinosinusitis; exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, including bronchitis; community-acquired pneumonia; complicated skin and soft tissue infections; uncomplicated cystitis; acute pyelonephritis and complicated urinary tract infections; chronic bacterial prostatitis; pulmonary anthrax: post-exposure prophylaxis and treatment.Composition
Active ingredient: levofloxacin;
1 tablet contains levofloxacin hemihydrate equivalent to levofloxacin 250 mg or 500 mg;
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, talc, crospovidone, titanium dioxide (E 171), tartrazine (E 102).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin and other quinolones or excipients, epilepsy, history of tendon lesions due to fluoroquinolone use.
Method of application
The drug should be taken 1 or 2 times a day. The dose depends on the type, severity of the infection and the sensitivity of the likely pathogen.
The drug can also be used to complete a course of therapy in patients who have shown improvement during initial treatment with intravenous levofloxacin; given the bioequivalence of parenteral and oral forms, the same dosage can be used.

Children should not use the drug, as damage to the articular cartilage cannot be ruled out.
Drivers
You should refrain from driving and working with complex mechanisms.
Overdose
Symptoms: dizziness, impaired consciousness, convulsions, nausea and erosion of the mucous membranes. According to the results of studies, when using doses exceeding therapeutic, prolongation of the QT interval was observed.
Treatment is symptomatic and supportive. ECG monitoring should be considered as QT prolongation may occur. Levofloxacin is not removed by either haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis; there is no specific antidote.
Side effects
General disorders and administration site conditions: asthenia, fever, pain (including back, chest and extremity pain), porphyria attacks in patients with porphyria.
Interaction
Clinical pharmacology studies have demonstrated that no clinically significant effect on the pharmacokinetics of levofloxacin was caused when levofloxacin was used together with the following drugs: calcium carbonate, digoxin, glibenclamide, ranitidine.
Storage conditions
Store in a place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
Keep out of reach of children.
