Indications for use.
Treatment of purulent wounds (including those infected with mixed microflora) in the first phase (purulent-necrotic) of the wound process, boils, long-lasting non-healing trophic ulcers, 2nd-3rd degree burns.
Contraindication.
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

The ointment is intended for external use in adults and children. Sterile gauze napkins are saturated with the drug, which are loosely filled with the wound. A regular bandage is applied on top, it is possible with parchment or compress paper. It is possible to introduce the drug into purulent cavities through a catheter (drainage tube) using a syringe. In this case, the ointment is preheated to 35 - 37 °C. Bandaging is carried out daily, until the wound is completely cleansed of pus and necrotic masses.
Overdose.
No overdose phenomena have been detected when using Levomekol ointment. When used according to the given recommendations, overdose is impossible.
Side effects.
Angioedema and allergic reactions in the form of skin rash are possible.
