Description

Syrup "Linkas plus expectorant" is used as part of complex therapy for inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract:

bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchial asthma and tuberculosis; cold, smoker's cough; inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract (laryngopharyngitis, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis).

Composition

5 ml of syrup contain (active ingredients):

extract of Solanum xanthocarpum (1:5) (extractant water) - 15 mg; extract of Adhatoda vasica (1:5) (extractant water) - 35 mg; extract of licorice root and rhizome (Glycyrrhiza glabra) (1:5) (extractant water) - 7.5 mg; extract of basil flowers and leaves (Ocimum basilicum) (1:5) (extractant water) - 15 mg; extract of Cordia latifolia (1:5) (extractant water) - 5 mg; extract of long pepper (Piper Longum) (1:5) (extractant water) - 5 mg; Marshmallow seed extract (Althea officinalis) (1:5) (extractant water) - 7.5 mg; star anise fruit extract (Illicium verum) (1:5) (extractant water) - 25 mg.

Excipients: sucrose, anhydrous citric acid, methylparaben E 218, propylparaben E 216, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, chewing gum flavoring, ammonium chloride, propylene glycol, purified water.

Contraindication

hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; diabetes mellitus; organic heart damage (myocarditis, pericarditis, myocardial infarction), arterial hypertension; impaired liver and kidney function; hypokalemia; severe obesity.

Method of application

Recommended dosage:

Adults and children over 12 years old - two teaspoons (10 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day; children aged 7 to 11 years old inclusive - one teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day; children aged 2 to 6 years old inclusive - ½-1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day.

The duration of treatment is from 3 to 7 days.

Application features

Pregnant women

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is contraindicated, as the licorice root contained in the drug increases estrogen levels, resulting in hormonal imbalance. If it is necessary to take the drug, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Children

The drug should not be prescribed to children under 2 years of age.

Overdose

Overdose and prolonged use (more than 2 months) can lead to and cause disturbances in water and electrolyte balance, resulting in the possible development of hypokalemic myopathy and myoglobinuria. Possible increase in side effects.

There have been no reports of accidental overdose.

Side effects

When using the drug, weakness, increased blood pressure, hypokalemia, allergic reactions (including rash, itching, skin hyperemia, urticaria, edema formation); increased salivation, irritation of the gastric mucosa are possible.

If any adverse reactions occur, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, in a dry place and out of the reach of children.

Shelf life - 3 years.
