Linozide is an antibacterial drug for systemic use.
Treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of specified microorganisms in the following conditions:
nosocomial pneumonia; community-acquired pneumonia; complicated skin and skin structure infections, including diabetic foot infections without concomitant osteomyelitis, caused by Staphylococcus aureus (methicillin-susceptible and methicillin-resistant isolates), Streptococcus pyogenes, or Streptococcus agalactiae; linezolid has not been studied in the treatment of pressure ulcers; uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus (methicillin-susceptible isolates only) or Streptococcus pyogenes; vancomycin-resistant infections caused by strains of Enterococcus faecium, including infections accompanied by bacteremia.Warehouse
1 ml of solution contains 2 mg of linezolid; excipients: glucose, monohydrate; sodium citrate; citric acid anhydrous; sodium hydroxide; hydrochloric acid diluted; water for injections.Contraindication
Known hypersensitivity to the active substance and/or to other excipients of the medicinal product.
Concomitant use with drugs that inhibit monoamine oxidase A and B (e.g. phenelzine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, moclobemide), or within two weeks of taking them.
Method of application
Dosage recommendations according to indications are given below.
Nosocomial pneumonia, community-acquired pneumonia (including forms accompanied by bacteremia), complicated infections of the skin and its structures:
pediatric patients (from birth to 11 years) - 10 mg/kg intravenously or orally every 8 hours; adults and children (over 12 years) - 600 mg intravenously or orally every 12 hours; recommended duration of treatment - 10-14 consecutive days.Infections caused by Enterococcus faecium resistant to vancomycin, including infections accompanied by bacteremia:
pediatric patients (from birth to 11 years) - 10 mg/kg intravenously or orally every 8 hours; adults and children (over 12 years) - 600 mg intravenously or orally every 12 hours; recommended duration of treatment - 14-28 consecutive days.Application features
Lactic acidosis has been reported with linezolid. Patients who develop symptoms and signs of metabolic acidosis, including recurrent nausea or vomiting, abdominal pain, low bicarbonate levels, or hyperventilation, while taking the drug should seek immediate medical attention. If lactic acidosis develops, the benefits of continued linezolid therapy should be weighed against the potential risks.
Pregnant women
The drug should not be used during pregnancy unless the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk.
Children
The medicine can be used from the first days of life.
Drivers
Dizziness or visual disturbances may occur during the use of linezolid. If such reactions occur, you should refrain from driving or operating machinery.
Overdose
No cases of overdose have been reported.
Side effects
Infections and infestations: candidiasis, oral candidiasis, vaginal candidiasis, fungal infections, vaginitis, antibiotic-associated colitis.
From the blood and lymphatic system: anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, eosinophilia, pancytopenia, myelosuppression, sideroblastic anemia.
Immune system disorders: anaphylaxis.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25ºС in a place inaccessible to children.
Do not freeze.
The infusion solution should be used immediately after opening.
